Richard Mille Price Guide 2026: Models, Quotes and Auction Results

|Bizak & Co. Editorial

How much does a Richard Mille cost? The model and the type of price matter. On September 10, 2026, three Bizak sourcing listings showed $242,550 for a rose-gold RM 011 and $353,399 and $464,999 for two RM 65-01 configurations. Historical auction results can be lower: Phillips reported $69,850 for an RM 016 Argentina in its Fall 2025 New York sale. These examples answer different buying questions; they do not establish a brand-wide minimum or maximum.

This guide separates current catalogue asking prices from completed auction results, then explains the details to check before comparing an offer. All amounts below are in U.S. dollars.

Richard Mille prices: current sourcing examples

These three public Bizak product pages were checked on September 10, 2026. Each states that the watch is sourced to order and that the watch, condition and final price will be confirmed before purchase. A catalogue listing is a starting point for an inquiry; it is not evidence that a particular watch is physically in stock.

Selected Bizak catalogue asking prices, checked September 10, 2026
Listed configuration Displayed price Requested details on the page
RM 011 Felipe Massa, rose gold $242,550 Brand new; full set requested
RM 65-01, catalogue code RM65-01PTB, Quartz TPT $353,399 Brand new; full set requested
RM 65-01, catalogue code RM65-01WQ, Quartz TPT $464,999 Brand new requested; accessories not specified

The requested condition and accessories describe the sourcing brief, not an inspected watch. Confirm the complete reference, actual photographs, papers, service history, availability and payment terms in the final offer. These are displayed asking prices, not manufacturer retail prices or completed transactions. Taxes, delivery and payment-method charges need to be resolved before comparing the total cost.

The two RM 65-01 listings also show why a model-family name is insufficient. Both catalogue titles say Quartz TPT, yet their asking prices differ and one leaves accessories unspecified. That does not isolate the value of material, colour or edition. A useful comparison needs the exact configuration and equivalent sale terms.

Historical Richard Mille auction prices

A completed sale provides different evidence from an asking price. The following results come from Phillips' Fall 2025 New York online watch auction. They concern individual watches sold in that sale, rather than offers available today.

Phillips historical results, Fall 2025; amounts reported as “Sold For”
Auction watch Reported result Documented distinction
Lot 32: RM 016 Ultra-Thin Argentina $69,850 Black DLC-coated titanium; numbered 10 of 15; certified pre-owned warranty dated May 2025
Lot 3: RM011 AH WG Felipe Massa $139,700 White gold and titanium; circa 2010s; approved-used certificate dated January 2021

These are Phillips' reported sale figures, not estimates or a quote for a delivered watch today. The RM 016 result shows why a universal $148,000 floor is inaccurate. It does not prove that a similar example is available now for $69,850. Likewise, the white-gold auction RM 011 and the rose-gold sourcing listing above are not matched comparables; subtracting their prices would not measure a discount.

What changes the price between Richard Mille models?

Movement, case construction and exact edition are the first distinctions to identify. The manufacturer's RM 65-01 specification identifies the automatic RMAC4 calibre, a split-seconds chronograph, a 5 Hz frequency and approximately 60 hours of power reserve, with actual reserve dependent on chronograph use. Those are concrete features to compare with a time-only model; they do not establish a fixed dollar premium.

The RM 27-04 Rafael Nadal is a different proposition: a manual-winding tourbillon limited to 50 pieces, with its movement suspended on a steel-cable mesh. Richard Mille specifies a TitaCarb case, a polyamide reinforced with 38.5% carbon fibre. Calling that case simply titanium and carbon misses the material distinction. We have not established a current transaction price for this reference in the sample above.

The individual watch and the offer still matter. Record its condition, polishing or repairs, original versus replacement components, accessories, service documents and seller warranty. Then compare offers with the same currency, payment method and delivery destination. This separates differences in the watch from differences in the commercial terms.

How to compare a Richard Mille quote

  1. Identify the exact watch. Ask for the full reference and edition, case material and colour, and photographs of the specific example being offered.
  2. Establish what is available. Distinguish a watch the seller can supply now from a request to source one. Confirm where it is and when inspection and dispatch can occur.
  3. Check the documented condition. Ask what supports the condition description, which papers and accessories are included, and what service or repairs are recorded.
  4. Get one complete quote. Specify currency, payment method, delivery destination, applicable charges, warranty and return terms, plus how long the offer remains valid.
  5. Compare equivalent offers. Use current offers for the same reference and configuration. Keep historical auction results in a separate column, with their sale dates and lot details.

The watch quote review tool turns the details you have into questions for a seller. You can start with partial information. Its optional comparison uses offers you enter; it does not authenticate a watch, confirm availability or provide an independent market valuation.

Common Richard Mille price questions

What is the cheapest Richard Mille?

A current lowest-price claim requires a current, verified offer set. Our three sourcing examples cannot establish that. The documented $69,850 RM 016 auction result above is historical evidence below six figures, not a promise of today's entry price. Start with an exact model and a confirmed offer.

Are these Richard Mille retail prices?

No. The first table contains Bizak catalogue asking prices for sourcing; the second contains historical auction results. For a current manufacturer retail price and purchase availability, request a quote from the appropriate Richard Mille boutique. Keep that quote separate from secondary-market asks.

Why is Richard Mille so expensive to make?

The manufacturer documents specialised movements and case constructions, including the examples above. Those specifications explain what is being made. They do not disclose the per-watch production cost, reject rate or profit margin, and this guide does not estimate those figures.

Do Richard Mille watches hold their value?

These examples do not establish a resale trend. Assessing one requires comparable completed sales over time, the amount paid, ownership costs and likely selling costs. An edition count or a high asking price alone cannot establish the proceeds you would receive when selling.

How do Richard Mille prices compare with Rolex and Patek Philippe?

Compare named references and equivalent price types. Our Richard Mille versus Rolex price comparison and Patek Philippe versus Richard Mille guide examine those choices without treating one price ratio as true of every watch.
