Audemars Piguet does not label its watches by gender, but the references most women buy are the Royal Oak Selfwinding 34 mm (77350 and 77450), the Royal Oak Selfwinding 37 mm (15450, then the 15550 and diamond-set 15551 from 2022), the 33 mm quartz Royal Oak, the 37 mm Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph 26231, the Frosted Gold and openworked 37 mm models, the oval Millenary and the 38 mm Code 11.59. The choice usually comes down to the 34 mm against the 37 mm Royal Oak: same design, different presence, and a price gap that depends more on metal and diamonds than on size. This guide compares the references, explains the calibres, shows how each size wears, gives dated 2026 catalogue asks and lists what to check before buying. Bizak & Co. sources every reference below to order; the Royal Oak collection lists the configurations we can seek.

Royal Oak Selfwinding 34 mm: 77350 and 77450
The 34 mm automatic Royal Oak arrived in 2019 as the 77350, powered by the calibre 5800, an automatic movement developed for the smaller case with about 50 hours of power reserve. Before it, the small Royal Oak was quartz, so the 77350 was the first time the classic Grande Tapisserie dial and integrated bracelet came in a small case with a mechanical movement visible through a sapphire caseback. The 77450 references that followed the 50th anniversary in 2022 carry the same size and calibre with updated dials and bracelets, and the range now runs from steel and two-tone through rose gold, ceramic and frosted gold, most with a diamond-set bezel option. At 34 mm and around 8.8 mm thick it is the Royal Oak for wrists from about 14 cm and the one to choose if you want the design at bracelet scale rather than watch scale.
Royal Oak Selfwinding 37 mm: 15450, 15550 and 15551
The 37 mm Royal Oak is the size Audemars Piguet itself calls unisex. The 15450 of 2012 used the calibre 3120 in a case about 9.8 mm thick and was sold in steel, two-tone and gold, with the diamond-bezel 15451 alongside. In 2022 the 15550 replaced it with the calibre 5900, a newer automatic with a longer reserve, a 50th-anniversary rotor on the first year's production and a slimmer profile, and the 15551 is the same watch with a diamond-set bezel. The 37 mm reads as a proper wristwatch rather than jewellery: the dial is large enough for the Grande Tapisserie pattern to show clearly, and the bracelet has the same taper as the 41 mm. It is the more common choice for women who wear a watch daily and want it to be noticed, and the size most men with smaller wrists also buy, which keeps its resale market broad.
34 mm or 37 mm Royal Oak: which size?
| 34 mm (77350, 77450) | 37 mm (15550, 15551) | |
|---|---|---|
| Thickness | About 8.8 mm | About 9.5 mm |
| Wrist | About 14 to 16 cm | About 15.5 to 18 cm |
| Presence | Bracelet scale, dressier | Watch scale, everyday |
| Calibre | 5800 | 5900 |
| Resale market | Mostly women buyers | Women and men; broader |
| Bizak catalogue, 21 Sep 2026 | Steel from US$43,259; two-tone US$48,821; rose gold US$111,550 | Two-tone US$47,122; yellow gold US$126,175; white gold with diamonds from US$90,383 |
Try both on the same wrist. The 34 mm sits inside the wrist bones and looks like a bracelet; the 37 mm fills the wrist and reads as a watch from across a table. Neither is the wrong answer, but the 37 mm is easier to resell because more people want it.
Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph 37 mm 26231
The 26231 is the Offshore for women: a 37 mm case with the Offshore's rubber-clad pushers and crown, a chronograph on the calibre 2385, and in most versions a bezel set with diamonds, on a rubber strap or a steel bracelet. It is thicker and sportier than the Royal Oak and the one to choose if the watch will be worn with a swimsuit as often as a jacket. The steel diamond-bezel 26231ST is the most common version and the least expensive Audemars Piguet chronograph of any size on the secondary market.
Frosted Gold, openworked and other 37 mm Royal Oaks
Audemars Piguet launched Frosted Gold in 2016 with the Florentine jeweller Carolina Bucci: a hammered finish that makes the case and bracelet sparkle without stones, on the 33 mm quartz and the 37 mm 15454 automatic. Frosted Gold has since spread to the 34 mm 77350 and to the Millenary. The 37 mm Openworked 15468 of 2020 puts the double balance wheel calibre 3132 into a gold 37 mm case, usually with a diamond bezel, and is the most expensive 37 mm Royal Oak short of the high-jewellery pieces. Both are precious metal only and priced accordingly; the 15468 sits above most 41 mm steel complications.
Millenary and Code 11.59 38 mm: the alternatives to a Royal Oak
The Millenary 77247 and 77244 of 2015 are the Audemars Piguet watches designed for women from the start: an oval 39.5 mm by 35.4 mm case in rose or white gold, an off-centre dial in mother of pearl or opal, and the hand-wound calibre 5201 with its balance visible on the dial side. The Millenary has been discontinued, which makes it the value route into a gold Audemars Piguet with a manufacture movement; our Millenary collection lists the configurations we can seek. The Code 11.59 Selfwinding 38 mm of 2023 offers the round case in gold with the calibre 5900 and a smoked lacquer dial, and is the choice for someone who wants the manufacture without the octagon.
How much is an Audemars Piguet women's watch? Prices in 2026
- Retail. Audemars Piguet publishes prices by market on its own site. Steel 34 mm and 37 mm Selfwinding models are the entry point; gold, ceramic, frosted finishes and diamond bezels each move the price up by a step.
- Bizak catalogue asks, 21 September 2026. Our sourced catalogue listed the 34 mm 77450ST in steel at US$43,259, the two-tone 77450SR at US$48,821, the rose gold 77450OR at US$111,550, the 34 mm black ceramic 77350CE at US$66,950 and white ceramic 77350CB at US$79,310, the 37 mm two-tone 15550SR at US$47,122, the yellow gold 15550BA at US$126,175, the white gold diamond-bezel 15551BC at US$90,383 and US$125,659 depending on dial, the Offshore 37 mm 26231ST with diamonds from US$34,410, a rose gold 26231OR at US$68,191, Millenary 77247 models from US$26,676 to US$46,785, a Frosted Gold opal-dial 77244OR at US$51,565 and the 37 mm Openworked 15468 from US$195,299, all sourced to order.
- What moves the price. Full set with warranty card, an unpolished case, a bracelet without stretch, a factory diamond bezel with its certificate and the more requested dial colour each add; aftermarket diamonds subtract heavily.
Those figures describe what we saw and will move. Ask for a dated quote for the exact reference and set; our Audemars Piguet price guide explains how to compare quotes.
Buying an Audemars Piguet for a woman: what to check
- Reference and size. The full reference (for example 77450ST.OO.1361ST.01) identifies size, metal, bezel and bracelet; confirm it against the warranty card and caseback.
- Factory diamonds. Audemars Piguet sets its own bezels and the reference contains ZZ when it does; a diamond bezel on an OO reference is aftermarket and reduces the value.
- Bracelet length. Small Royal Oaks are often shortened; ask how many links come with the watch, because replacements are costly.
- Case and bezel. Sharp bevels and even brushing on the case, and eight bezel screws aligned as the factory sets them.
- Movement. A 5800 or 5900 should be visible through the caseback and running smoothly; on a quartz 33 mm ask when the battery and gaskets were last changed.
- Warranty and service. Current references carry the manufacture warranty; for a 15450 or a Millenary, ask for the last service receipt.
- Price against the band. A full-set steel or gold small Royal Oak offered well under the market is the single most reliable warning sign.
Our authentication process describes what we inspect before dispatch, and our Royal Oak authentication and collecting guide goes deeper on cases, bracelets and paperwork.
Quick answers
What size Audemars Piguet do women wear?
Most women choose the Royal Oak in 34 mm or 37 mm, with the 33 mm quartz for the smallest wrists. The 37 mm is the unisex size and the easier one to resell; the 34 mm wears more like a bracelet.
What is the difference between the Royal Oak 34 mm and 37 mm?
The 34 mm 77350 and 77450 use the calibre 5800 in a case about 8.8 mm thick; the 37 mm 15550 and 15551 use the calibre 5900 in a case about 9.5 mm thick. The design, dial pattern and bracelet are the same at different scale.
How much is a women's Audemars Piguet Royal Oak?
Bizak's sourced catalogue listed the 34 mm steel 77450ST at US$43,259, the 37 mm two-tone 15550SR at US$47,122 and gold versions from about US$90,000 to US$126,175 on 21 September 2026, sourced to order.
Does Audemars Piguet make a women's chronograph?
Yes. The Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding Chronograph 37 mm 26231 is the chronograph most women buy, in steel or rose gold and usually with a diamond bezel.
Is the Millenary still made?
No. Audemars Piguet has discontinued the Millenary, so the women's 77247 and 77244 references trade only on the secondary market, where they are the value route into a gold Audemars Piguet with a manufacture movement.
