The AP Bumblebee is the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore chronograph reference 26176FO.OO.D101CR.02: a 42 mm forged carbon case, a black ceramic bezel and a black Méga Tapisserie dial picked out in yellow. Whether you searched for the Bumblebee AP, the Audemars Piguet Bumblebee, the Royal Oak Offshore Bumblebee or the 26176FO, this is the watch. The nickname comes from the colours: yellow numerals, a yellow tachymeter ring and a yellow chronograph hand against black carbon and black ceramic. The reference has left the Audemars Piguet catalogue, so every example now comes from the secondary market.

Forged carbon is the starting point. It is made by compressing short carbon fibres in resin under heat and pressure, which leaves a marbled grey and black pattern that falls differently in every mould, so no two 26176FO cases look alike. The material is far lighter than steel, so this 42 mm chronograph wears with much less weight than the steel versions. Like any composite, it can chip at a sharp edge if knocked hard.
The colour does the rest. The ceramic bezel, the crown, the pushers and the Méga Tapisserie dial give a black base, and the yellow is kept to the numerals, the tachymeter ring and the chronograph seconds hand, with yellow stitching on the strap in the reference images. That restraint is why the Audemars Piguet Bumblebee reads as black and yellow rather than yellow. The case keeps the Royal Oak Offshore lines that Emmanuel Gueit drew for the first Offshore in 1993, at the 42 mm size of the classic Offshore chronograph.
The Bumblebee is the lightest of the three and the only one with the black and yellow livery. For a longer comparison with the steel 26470 and the current 43 mm 26420, read our Royal Oak Offshore Bumblebee 26176FO guide.
Our Royal Oak authentication and collecting guide covers the wider checks for any Royal Oak or Offshore.
Bizak & Co. sources the 26176FO to order. We locate a Bumblebee that matches your brief, send real photos and today's price, and you can reserve with a $200 deposit credited to the price. Bizak's sourced catalogue listed $17,746 on 4 October 2026, sourced to order. As of October 2026, treat that figure as a dated reference point rather than a quote: asking prices for a discontinued Offshore move with the market and differ with year, service history, strap and the accessories supplied. Every watch is checked against our authenticity guarantee before dispatch, and our Audemars Piguet price guide shows where the Offshore sits against the rest of the range.
