Rolex Day-Date 36 118208-IVPRDP Ivory Roman Pyramid Dial Yellow Gold President - BRAND NEW Rolex Day-Date 36 118208-IVPRDP Ivory Roman Pyramid…

The Rolex Day-Date is widely regarded as the most prestigious watch in the Rolex collection, introduced in 1956 as the first wristwatch to display the day of the week spelled out in full alongside the date. Reserved exclusively for precious metals, the Day-Date has long been associated with heads of state, industry leaders, and tastemakers worldwide — a legacy captured in its enduring nickname, the "President's Watch." The reference 118208-IVPRDP represents the 36mm generation of this storied lineage, rendered entirely in 18k yellow gold and presented in brand-new condition at Bizak and Co.

The case of the 118208-IVPRDP measures 36mm in diameter and is crafted entirely in 18k yellow gold, a specification that places it firmly in Day-Date tradition. The yellow gold bezel frames the dial with understated authority, and the overall proportions of the 36mm case make this reference a genuinely versatile choice, wearing elegantly on a wide range of wrist sizes for both men and women. Every surface is finished to Rolex's exacting standards, alternating polished and brushed elements that catch the light beautifully.

The ivory Roman pyramid dial is the defining visual feature of this reference and the detail that separates it from more common Day-Date configurations. The warm ivory cream ground is complemented by pyramid-style Roman numeral hour markers — a sophisticated choice that adds texture and depth to the dial without sacrificing legibility. The hour and minute hands are crafted in yellow gold, harmonizing seamlessly with the case and bracelet to create a wholly unified aesthetic. This dial variant is among the more sought-after options in the 36mm Day-Date family.

Powering the Day-Date 36 is a Rolex-manufactured automatic movement, certified as a Superlative Chronometer by Rolex's own standards, which exceed those of the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC). This movement drives the signature Day-Date complication, advancing the day display instantaneously at midnight — a feat of mechanical engineering that remains a hallmark of the model. The movement is protected within the hermetically sealed Oyster case, one of the most robust and trusted case architectures in watchmaking.

The yellow gold President bracelet is itself an icon, introduced alongside the original Day-Date and available exclusively on this model. Its three-piece semi-circular links are instantly recognizable and give the watch a substantial yet comfortable feel on the wrist. The concealed Crownclasp fastens discreetly, preserving the bracelet's clean lines. Worn together with the ivory pyramid dial and yellow gold case, the President bracelet completes a watch that is as much a symbol as it is a timepiece.
