The Rolex Lady-Datejust is one of watchmaking's most enduring icons, and the 26mm reference 179179-DMOPDP represents its most opulent expression. Introduced as the world's first self-winding waterproof wristwatch with a date display when the Datejust debuted in 1945, the Lady-Datejust carries that same pioneering spirit into a refined, feminine silhouette that has graced the wrists of style leaders for decades. This reference, dressed entirely in white gold, elevates the classic design to a level of quiet, confident luxury that is instantly recognizable.

At the heart of the dial is a panel of dark mother of pearl — a material harvested from the inner lining of mollusks that exhibits a depth and iridescence no printed or lacquered surface can replicate. The naturally occurring play of color shifts from deep charcoal to soft blue-green depending on the angle of light, giving the dial an organic, living quality. Rolex has set this canvas with factory diamonds, each selected and positioned in Geneva to meet the manufacture's exacting standards, adding structured brilliance to an already captivating surface.

The white gold fluted bezel is among Rolex's most storied design elements, first introduced to showcase the brand's skill in working precious metals. The precisely machined grooves catch and scatter light in a way that a smooth or ceramic bezel simply cannot, and in 18-karat white gold the effect is especially pronounced. Together with the dark dial, the bezel creates a high-contrast presentation that is simultaneously dramatic and elegant.

The President bracelet — so named in honor of its association with heads of state and dignitaries — completes this reference in the most fitting way possible. Crafted entirely in 18-karat white gold, its semi-circular three-piece links offer a supple, fluid drape on the wrist that has made it the aspirational standard for luxury bracelets since its introduction alongside the Day-Date in 1956. On the 179179-DMOPDP, every element from case to clasp shares the same precious metal, creating a unified, monochromatic statement of the highest order.

Wrist presence on the 26mm case is refined rather than imposing, proportioned for smaller wrists yet substantial enough to announce itself with authority. The oyster case, crafted in 18-karat white gold, provides the structural integrity and timeless round silhouette that defines the Datejust family across every generation. This is a watch that transitions effortlessly from a formal gala to a distinguished daily companion, its precious construction ensuring it only deepens in character and value over time.

Purchasing from Bizak means working with knowledgeable specialists who are committed to transparency, authenticity, and an exceptional buying experience. The all-white-gold configuration paired with a dark mother of pearl dial makes this one of the most striking and cohesive versions in the Lady-Datejust lineup. It is the kind of watch that functions equally as a daily luxury companion and a treasured heirloom.

2. What movement powers the Rolex Lady-Datejust 26 reference 179179-DMOPDP?
Rolex equips the Lady-Datejust 26 with an in-house self-winding mechanical movement featuring the Rolex Perpetual rotor system, though the specific caliber designation for this reference is best confirmed at the time of purchase. Rolex movements are renowned for their precision, reliability, and chronometer-certified performance. For exact technical specifications, please contact Bizak & Co. directly.

3. What is the case size of the Lady-Datejust 179179-DMOPDP?
The case measures 26mm in diameter and is crafted entirely in 18-karat white gold, making it one of Rolex's most classic and elegantly proportioned sizing options. The 26mm format is ideally suited to smaller or medium wrists and has been the signature dimension of the Lady-Datejust for generations. Despite its compact footprint, the combination of fluted bezel and diamond dial gives it a commanding visual presence.

4. Is the Rolex Lady-Datejust 179179-DMOPDP suitable for everyday wear?
Absolutely — the Lady-Datejust is engineered with Rolex's Oyster case construction, which delivers robust protection in daily life while maintaining the elegance expected of a fine dress watch. The white gold President bracelet is designed to withstand regular wear while remaining supremely comfortable throughout the day. That said, the all-white-gold and diamond configuration makes this reference especially well-suited to formal occasions and special events where understated luxury is the appropriate statement.

5. What is the dial like on the 179179-DMOPDP?
The dial features dark mother of pearl, a natural material prized for its shifting, iridescent play of color that ranges from deep charcoal to nuanced blue-green depending on the lighting. Rolex has set this dial with factory diamonds, professionally installed at the manufacture to guarantee alignment, quality, and authenticity. The result is a dial that is both dramatically beautiful and unmistakably Rolex in its precision and refinement.

6. Is the Rolex Lady-Datejust 179179-DMOPDP a good buy, and how can I purchase it from Bizak & Co.?
The Lady-Datejust in full white gold with a diamond-set mother of pearl dial is among the most desirable and collectible configurations in the Rolex ladies' catalog, and acquiring it brand-new is increasingly rare.
