Rolex Lady-Datejust 28 28 mm 279138RBRSDJ Yellow Gold/Diamonds Silver Rolex Lady-Datejust 28 28 mm 279138RBRSDJ Yellow…

The Rolex Lady-Datejust is one of the most enduring icons in watchmaking history, and the 28mm generation — introduced as a refined update to the classic Lady-Datejust — brings with it all the engineering precision and timeless aesthetic that have made Rolex the world's most recognized luxury watch brand. Reference 279138RBRSDJ represents the very top of the Lady-Datejust hierarchy: an 18k yellow gold case and bracelet, a factory diamond-set bezel, and a silver dial that radiates quiet confidence.

The case of the 279138RBRSDJ measures 28mm in diameter — an ideal proportion for a dressy ladies' timepiece — and is crafted entirely in 18k yellow gold, a material Rolex produces in-house under the proprietary name Rolex Yellow Gold. The warm, rich hue of the gold is perfectly complemented by the brilliant-cut diamonds set into the bezel, which catch and scatter light with every movement of the wrist. This combination of precious metal and gemstones places the 279138RBRSDJ firmly in the haute joaillerie tier of the Datejust family.

The silver dial is a study in elegant restraint, providing a cool, luminous backdrop that allows the hour markers and hands to read with exceptional clarity. The Datejust's signature date window at 3 o'clock, magnified by Rolex's patented Cyclops lens, remains instantly legible — a functional hallmark that has defined the Datejust since 1945. The five-link Jubilee bracelet, itself an original design debuted alongside the Datejust, gives the watch its characteristic fluid drape on the wrist and is finished in matching 18k yellow gold.

Powering the Lady-Datejust 28 is a Swiss-certified automatic movement, a self-winding caliber that is serviced and regulated to Rolex's exacting COSC-level standards. The watch is water resistant to 100 meters (330 feet), a testament to the Oyster case's robust construction — meaning this jewel of a timepiece is not merely decorative but a fully functional precision instrument built to be worn daily.
