Short answer: The chocolate dial Day-Date is the Day-Date 40 228235 in 18 kt Everose gold. Rolex lists it at $54,200 with Roman numerals or index hour markers and $58,950 with ten baguette diamonds (US prices, 2026 catalogue). That catalogue offers chocolate only with Everose gold: besides the Day-Date, it appears on the Daytona 126505 and 126515LN, the Datejust 41 126331 and 126301, the Yacht-Master 126621 and 268621, the Sky-Dweller and the smaller Datejusts. On October 19, 2026 Bizak asked from $48,407 for a pre-owned 228235 with baguette diamonds and from $50,701 for one with Roman numerals.

Chocolate dial Day-Date: the 228235 and 228345RBR
Everose is Rolex's patented 18 kt pink (rose) gold alloy, cast in its own foundry, introduced in 2005 and now used on all its pink gold Oyster models. The 228235 is Everose throughout: a 40 mm case with a fluted bezel, the President bracelet with a concealed Crownclasp, and the calibre 3255 with about 70 hours of power reserve, certified as a Superlative Chronometer. Rolex makes its chocolate dial three ways:
- Roman numerals: $54,200; Bizak from $50,701 pre-owned and $54,757 new.
- Index hour markers with a Chromalight display: $54,200; Bizak from $54,757 new.
- Ten baguette-cut diamonds (0.46 ct): $58,950; Bizak from $48,407 pre-owned and $53,009 new.
The 228345RBR adds a bezel set with 48 brilliant-cut diamonds (2.15 ct): $76,900 with Roman numerals or index markers and $81,650 with baguettes. Bizak also lists a 228235 with a textured diagonal-motif chocolate dial ($50,701 pre-owned), a version missing from Rolex's 2026 catalogue.
The 36 mm Day-Date has no chocolate dial in that catalogue; its brown option is brown ombré, from $49,600 on the 128235 (Bizak from $40,455). Earlier chocolate Day-Dates cost less: the 41 mm Day-Date II 218235 from $33,479 and the 36 mm 118235 from $30,272, both pre-owned.
Chocolate Daytona: 126505 or 126515LN
Both are 40 mm Cosmograph Daytonas in 18 kt Everose gold with the calibre 4131 (about 72 hours) and the dial Rolex calls “bright chocolate and black”: chocolate with black counters. The bezel and bracelet set them apart:
- 126505: Everose gold bezel with an engraved tachymetric scale and an Everose Oyster bracelet; $59,100, Bizak from $53,009.
- 126515LN: black Cerachrom ceramic bezel and an Oysterflex bracelet; $44,800, Bizak from $43,709.
The catalogue's other Everose Daytona dials are Sundust-and-black combinations, a meteorite dial on the 126515LN and gem-set versions. Earlier chocolate Daytonas: the 116505 from $37,199 and the 116515LN from $27,899, both pre-owned examples with Arabic numerals.
Datejust 41 chocolate: Oyster or Jubilee
The chocolate Datejust 41 is Everose Rolesor with the calibre 3235 (about 70 hours): the 126331 has a fluted Everose gold bezel and the 126301 a smooth one. Each comes with index hour markers or ten diamonds, on an Oyster or a Jubilee bracelet; the Jubilee adds $650 at list.
- 126331, fluted bezel: $17,550 on Oyster and $18,200 on Jubilee, or $19,650 and $20,300 with diamonds. Bizak from $16,394 on Oyster, $16,542 on Jubilee and $20,348 with diamonds on Jubilee.
- 126301, smooth bezel: $17,450 on Oyster and $18,100 on Jubilee, or $19,550 and $20,200 with diamonds. Bizak from $16,554 on Oyster and $18,134 on Jubilee, both with diamonds; with index markers, from $17,885.
Smaller Datejusts come in chocolate too: the Datejust 36 (126231 fluted, 126201 domed bezel), the Datejust 31, where every chocolate dial is diamond-set, and the Lady-Datejust 28. Our 126331 guide covers that reference's other dials.
Chocolate Yacht-Master: 126621 and 268621
The chocolate Yacht-Masters are the Everose Rolesor models: the 40 mm 126621 ($19,750, calibre 3235, about 70 hours) and the 37 mm 268621 ($17,750, calibre 2236, about 55 hours). Both have a bidirectional 60-minute Everose gold bezel with raised numerals and an Oyster bracelet with the Oysterlock safety clasp, and each costs the same with an intense black dial. In the catalogue, the solid Everose 126655 and 268655 come only in intense black.
Bizak from: 126621 $15,813 pre-owned or $17,078 new; 268621 $16,088; the earlier 116621 $14,575 pre-owned.
Chocolate Sky-Dweller
The 42 mm Everose Sky-Dweller, with its fluted Ring Command bezel, annual calendar, second time zone and calibre 9002 (about 72 hours), offers chocolate on all three bracelets: Oysterflex (336235, $53,450), Oyster (336935, $63,700) and Jubilee (336935, $64,900). Bizak asked from $45,477 for the 336235 and $54,219 for the 336935 on Oyster.
Checks before you buy a chocolate dial Rolex
- Confirm the exact dial. A chocolate 228235 can have Roman numerals, index markers or baguettes ($4,750 apart at list), and a Datejust 41 index markers or diamonds.
- Price the bezel and bracelet. The Everose bezel and Oyster bracelet of the 126505 list $14,300 above the ceramic and Oysterflex 126515LN; a Jubilee adds $650 to a Datejust 41.
- Judge the shade in photos of the watch itself. Listing images can be reference images, and a brown dial looks different under different light.
- Keep the guarantee intact. Rolex's guarantee does not cover watches modified with non-genuine parts such as the dial or bezel, so diamonds on the dial or bezel should be Rolex's own.
