Vacheron Constantin Overseas 2300V/000M-B400 Guide: 37 mm Steel and Pink Gold, Calibre 5300

Vacheron Constantin Overseas Self-Winding 37 mm 2300V/000M-B400 in steel with pink gold bezel, silver dial and alligator strap

The Vacheron Constantin Overseas 2300V/000M-B400 is the 37 mm Overseas Self-Winding in steel with a pink gold bezel: a two-tone mid-size Overseas with a silver-toned dial, pink gold hands and markers, a date at 3, the in-house calibre 5300 with the Hallmark of Geneva and the Overseas quick-change strap system, delivered on an alligator strap. It is the smallest case in the third-generation Overseas that Vacheron launched in 2016 and the one that suits wrists the 41 mm 4500V overwhelms. This guide covers the specifications, what the 37 mm changes against the 41 mm, how the two-tone compares with the all-steel 2300V and the 41 mm steel and gold references, how it wears, price context in 2026 and what to check before buying. Bizak & Co. sources the 2300V/000M-B400 to order; the Overseas collection lists the configurations we can seek.

Sources: the Hallmark of Geneva and Swiss Made rules that apply to this movement are described by the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry; the Overseas appears regularly in the watch sales at Phillips and Sotheby's. What does the 37 mm Overseas change against the 41 mm?

Size, movement and date. The 41 mm 4500V uses the calibre 5100 with about 60 hours of reserve; the 37 mm 2300V uses the smaller calibre 5300, which gives up some power reserve at about 44 hours but keeps the same architecture, the same gold wind-rose rotor and the same Hallmark of Geneva. Both have a date at 3. The 37 mm is about 10.8 mm thick against the 41 mm's 11 mm, so the proportions are almost identical and the smaller watch does not read as a scaled-down version. Vacheron markets the 2300V without assigning it a gender, and in practice it is bought by men with wrists under about 17 cm who find the 4500V too wide, and by women who want the Overseas with the full mechanical movement rather than the quartz or diamond-set models.

The two-tone 2300V/000M-B400 carries a large premium over the steel 37 mm and the steel 41 mm in our catalogue, which reflects both the pink gold bezel and markers and how rarely this configuration is offered unworn. If the pink gold is the point, the comparison worth making is with the 41 mm pink gold 4500V/000R-B127, which our catalogue listed at US$46,786 on the same date: a solid gold case at 41 mm for less than the two-tone 37 mm, if the larger size fits. If the size is the point, the steel 2300V on its bracelet is the better value and the easier watch to resell. Our Overseas 4520V/210R-B967 guide covers the current pink gold 41 mm in detail.

How does the Overseas 37 mm wear?

Very well on wrists from about 15 cm to 17.5 cm (6 to 7 inches). The Overseas case is short for its diameter because the bezel sits inside the lugs and the strap meets the case almost under the bezel, so the 37 mm wears closer to a 36 mm round watch than its number suggests. On the alligator strap it sits low and light; on the rubber strap it becomes a summer watch with 150 m of water resistance. The silver-toned dial with pink gold markers is the quietest two-tone combination Vacheron makes, and the pink gold bezel reads as a warm frame rather than a flash of colour. Legibility is good in daylight and fair at night, as the luminescent material is confined to the hands and markers.

Calibre 5300 and the Hallmark of Geneva

The 5300 is a manufacture automatic built for the 37 mm Overseas and the Overseas Self-Winding models that share its case. Its 22 ct gold rotor is decorated with a wind-rose, the compass motif that runs through the third-generation Overseas, and it is visible through the sapphire caseback. The movement carries the Hallmark of Geneva, the Poinçon de Genève, which certifies that the movement was assembled, adjusted and cased in the Canton of Geneva and meets its finishing and functional standards; it is a different kind of certification from the accuracy-only COSC test. The soft-iron inner case that protects the movement from magnetism is retained in the 37 mm, as is the screw-down crown.

How much is a Vacheron Constantin Overseas 37 mm? Price context in 2026

  • Retail. Vacheron Constantin publishes list prices through its boutiques and website and adjusts them periodically; the two-tone 2300V sits above the steel 2300V and below the solid pink gold references. We have not quoted a figure because Vacheron's adjustments would date it.
  • Secondary market. Steel Overseas Self-Winding models have generally traded around or above retail in 2025 and 2026 because allocation at boutiques is slow; two-tone and gold 37 mm examples are less liquid, with wider spreads between asks and achieved prices. Results at Phillips and Sotheby's are the best public record of where gold Overseas references settle.
  • Bizak catalogue asks. On October 17, 2026 our sourced catalogue listed the 2300V/000M-B400 at US$67,099 brand new, the steel 2300V/100A-B078 with pink dial at US$24,999, the diamond-bezel two-tone 2305V/000M-B400 at US$53,999, the 41 mm steel 4500V/110A-B126 at US$28,100 and the 41 mm steel 4520V/210A-B126 at US$27,999, all sourced to order.

Those figures describe what we saw and will move. Ask for a dated quote for the exact reference, year and card; our Royal Oak vs Overseas guide explains how Overseas prices behave against the Audemars Piguet equivalent.

Is the Overseas 2300V/000M-B400 a good investment?

It is a watch to own. The steel Overseas has held value because demand at retail exceeds supply; the two-tone 37 mm is a narrower market, and a buyer paying a premium for an unworn example should expect to hold it for years rather than trade it. The case for the watch is that it is a Geneva-hallmarked manufacture movement in a sports case at a size few competitors offer with a full mechanical calibre. If resale ranks first, the steel 2300V on its bracelet or the 41 mm 4500V is the easier watch to sell.

Buying an Overseas 2300V/000M-B400: what to check

  • Warranty card and reference. The card should read 2300V/000M-B400 and the serial should match the caseback; a watch sold as brand new should have a card dated within Vacheron's warranty period and the protective stickers intact.
  • Strap set. Confirm which straps were delivered: the alligator strap on the folding clasp and, where supplied, the rubber strap with its own clasp. Each should carry the quick-change tabs. A missing strap is a negotiating point.
  • Bezel and markers. The pink gold bezel marks more easily than the steel case; check the six flat faces for hairlines and the bezel edge for nicks. Applied markers should be seated square with no lifted edges.
  • Crown and date. The crown should screw down with a few turns and seal firmly; the date should jump cleanly at midnight and set in the first crown position without hesitation.
  • Caseback and rotor. Through the sapphire, the wind-rose rotor should be unmarked and the Hallmark of Geneva visible on the movement; any scratches inside the caseback mean it has been opened.
  • Service history. Vacheron recommends service every several years; for a pre-owned example ask for the last service invoice and whether it was done by Vacheron.
  • Price against the band. A brand-new two-tone 37 mm offered well under the steel 41 mm is the single most reliable warning sign.

How much is a Vacheron Constantin Overseas 2300V/000M-B400?

Vacheron Constantin publishes the list price through its boutiques and adjusts it periodically. Bizak's sourced catalogue listed the 2300V/000M-B400 at US$67,099 brand new, sourced to order, on October 17, 2026, against US$24,999 for the steel 37 mm 2300V/100A-B078.

37 mm across and about 10.8 mm thick, the smallest case in the third-generation Overseas Self-Winding range. It suits wrists from about 15 cm to 17.5 cm.

What movement is in the Overseas 37 mm?

The Vacheron Constantin calibre 5300, an automatic manufacture movement with a 22 ct gold wind-rose rotor, about 44 hours of power reserve and the Hallmark of Geneva. The 41 mm 4500V uses the calibre 5100 with about 60 hours.

Does the 2300V/000M-B400 come with a bracelet?

It is listed on an alligator strap with the Overseas quick-change system, and most "000" references are supplied with an additional rubber strap rather than a bracelet. Confirm the delivered set with the seller before you buy.

Is the Overseas 37 mm a women's watch?

Vacheron does not assign it a gender. It is bought by men with wrists under about 17 cm who find the 41 mm too wide and by women who want the full mechanical Overseas; the diamond-bezel 2305V is the version aimed more directly at women.
