About Audemars Piguet Royal Oak chronographs
The Royal Oak Chronograph adds a three-counter chronograph to Gérald Genta’s 1972 design: the octagonal bezel with eight hexagonal screws, the “Tapisserie” dial and the integrated bracelet. The Royal Oak Offshore, launched in 1993, takes the same codes to larger, sportier cases in materials such as ceramic, titanium and forged carbon. In 2022 Audemars Piguet refined the 38 and 41 mm chronographs (26715 and 26240): wider polished chamfers, a tapering bracelet with thinner links and the integrated flyback Calibre 4401 with 70 hours of power reserve in the 41 mm. At the far end of the line, the Royal Oak Extra-Thin Flying Tourbillon Chronograph RD#5 in titanium shows how far AP has taken the complication inside the Royal Oak case.
Rose gold, steel or Offshore: how to choose
-
Bracelet or strap. On the 26240OR the pink gold bracelet adds about $37,600 to the lowest strap price ($107,325 against $69,749), so a strap version is the cheapest way into a current rose gold chronograph.
-
Current or earlier reference. The 26240OR and 26715OR have the 2022 case and bracelet. The 26331OR, 26320OR and 39 mm 25960OR are earlier designs and are often cheaper, especially pre-owned.
-
Size. The 41 mm is the main size; the 38 mm 26715OR and 26315OR wear smaller, and the 39 mm 25960OR sits in between. See the 41 mm Royal Oak Chronograph and 38 mm Royal Oak hubs.
-
Steel instead. The steel 26240ST shares the case and movement of the 26240OR; compare it in the 26240ST hub. All pink gold Royal Oaks, time-only included, are in the rose gold Royal Oak hub.
-
Check the full reference. The suffix after the model number (for example 1320OR.02 or D315CR.01) fixes dial colour, bracelet or strap, and gem-setting, and it drives the price.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much is a rose gold Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chronograph?
On Bizak a pink gold Royal Oak Chronograph starts at $39,059 for a pre-owned 41 mm 26320OR on strap. The current 26240OR starts at $69,749 on strap and $107,325 on its pink gold bracelet, and diamond-set versions start at $119,999 (live prices, 24 October 2026). The exact quote is confirmed after your deposit.
What is the difference between the 26240OR, 26331OR and 26320OR?
All three are 41 mm pink gold Royal Oak chronographs. The 26240OR is the current reference, with the case and bracelet refinements AP introduced in 2022 and the integrated flyback Calibre 4401 with 70 hours of power reserve. The 26331OR came before it and the 26320OR before that; both have the earlier case and are usually cheaper.
Is rose gold the same as pink gold on an Audemars Piguet?
Yes. Audemars Piguet calls its rose gold “18-carat pink gold” in its references and descriptions; the OR in a reference such as 26240OR stands for that pink gold.
Are the Audemars Piguet chronographs at Bizak & Co. new or pre-owned?
Both. Each listing says whether it is priced as new or pre-owned. Every watch is sourced to order, so the condition, accessories and final price of the specific watch are confirmed in the photos and quote you receive after your deposit.
What is the difference between the Royal Oak Chronograph and the Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph?
The Royal Oak Chronograph is the slimmer, more classical expression, in 38, 39 or 41 mm cases with an integrated bracelet or strap. The Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph is larger, mostly 42 to 44 mm (37 mm for some smaller models), with a sportier case, pushers and materials such as ceramic, titanium and rubber.
How do I buy an Audemars Piguet chronograph from Bizak & Co.?
Choose the reference and reserve it with a $200 deposit, credited to the final price. After payment is confirmed, we research suitable options and send watch-specific photos and a current quote for your review before you pay the remaining balance. The specific sourced watch is inspected before dispatch and shipped insured; see our buyer-protection terms.
