TAG Heuer Formula 1 quartz chronograph in steel with a blue dial and a steel bracelet

The cheapest TAG Heuer on tagheuer.com in the US is the Connected Calibre E5, a 40mm steel smartwatch, listed in the low four figures. The cheapest quartz watch is the Formula 1 Date, a 41mm steel model in the same band. The cheapest automatic is the 43mm Formula 1 Date with Caliber 5, in the low-to-mid four figures. Pre-owned Formula 1 watches usually ask less on Chrono24, but asking prices are not sale prices. Bizak & Co. is a sourcing desk, not an authorized TAG Heuer dealer: every watch here is found to order, not held in stock.

Which TAG Heuer is the cheapest in 2026?

The Connected Calibre E5 is the cheapest new TAG Heuer, and the Formula 1 Date is the cheapest new quartz watch. TAG Heuer sells the Connected as a smartwatch. Two references list at the same price in 40mm steel: SBT8010.BT0002 and the online-exclusive SBT8010.BT0020. The brand says to put a Connected on its charger every night.

The Formula 1 Date, reference WAZ1110.FT8023, is a quartz watch with a 41mm steel case. It has a black dial and a black rubber strap. The crown screws down, and water resistance is 200 m. It shows hours, minutes, seconds and date. The Formula 1 Date on a steel bracelet, WAZ1110.BA0875, lists a little higher, still in the low four figures.

Formula 1 quartz chronographs also list in the low four figures. The blue-dial 43mm Formula 1 quartz chronograph, CAZ1014.BA0842, is one example. Browse the full Formula 1 collection to compare dials and straps.

What does the entry TAG Heuer cost in each line?

Entry prices run from the low four figures for Formula 1 to the high four figures for Monaco. TAG Heuer's US site shows five main watch lines today: Formula 1, Aquaracer, Link, Carrera and Monaco. The Connected smartwatch and two limited-edition Monza chronographs sit apart. The table gives the cheapest model in each line, with its US list band on November 2, 2026.

Line Entry model Reference Size Movement New list band
Connected Calibre E5, steel case SBT8010.BT0002 40mm Smartwatch Low four figures
Formula 1 Date, rubber strap WAZ1110.FT8023 41mm Quartz Low four figures
Link Date, steel bracelet WBC1310.BA0600 32mm Quartz Low four figures
Aquaracer Professional 200 Solargraph, steel bracelet WBP1311.BA0005 34mm Solar quartz Low four figures
Formula 1, automatic Date, steel bracelet WAZ2011.BA0842 43mm Caliber 5 automatic Low-to-mid four figures
Carrera Date, steel bracelet WBN2411.BA0621 29mm Caliber 9 automatic Low-to-mid four figures
Carrera, 39mm Date WBN2110.FC6623 39mm Caliber 5 automatic Low-to-mid four figures
Monaco Chronograph CBL2113.FC6177 39mm Calibre TH20-00 automatic chronograph High four figures

The Aquaracer entry is a 34mm Solargraph, which TAG Heuer says is powered by light. It has a gold-plated bezel. A 35mm quartz Aquaracer Date with diamonds on the dial lists at the same price. For a 40mm Aquaracer, the Professional 200 Solargraph and the Professional 200 quartz chronograph both start in the low-to-mid four figures. See the Aquaracer collection and our Carrera vs Aquaracer comparison for more.

TAG Heuer's US site lists no quartz Carrera. Every Carrera there is automatic, so the line starts higher than Formula 1. The Monaco starts highest because every Monaco with a list price on the site is an automatic chronograph. The TAG Heuer Monaco guide explains the family.

Quartz or automatic: what do you give up?

With quartz you give up the mechanical movement, and little else. Both Formula 1 Date models are rated to 200 m, so water resistance is not the trade-off. The Formula 1 with Caliber 5 also has a plain steel caseback, so you cannot see the movement anyway.

The real gaps are winding, price and upkeep. A quartz needs no winding. The Caliber 5 beats 28,800 times an hour and holds a 38-hour power reserve. Leave it off your wrist for two days and it stops. On a steel bracelet, the Caliber 5 Formula 1 lists about half as much again as the quartz one.

Both types need care. TAG Heuer says a quartz battery lasts several years and a dead one should be replaced fast. It also says to overhaul its watches about every five to six years. Our TAG Heuer service cost guide has the fees. If you swim in the watch, it adds a water-resistance test every two years.

What is the cheapest automatic TAG Heuer?

The Formula 1 Date with Caliber 5 is the cheapest new automatic, a 43mm steel watch in the low-to-mid four figures. Reference WAZ2011.BA0842 has a steel bracelet and a grey dial. It is 11.9mm thick and rated to 200 m.

The cheapest automatic Carrera is the 29mm Date, WBN2411.BA0621. It runs Caliber 9 with a 40-hour power reserve, and it is a small watch. The 39mm Carrera Date, WBN2110.FC6623, runs Caliber 5 and lists in the same band. The 41mm Link Date automatic, WBC2110.BA0603, and the 41mm Aquaracer Date automatic, WBD2120.BB0930, start in the mid four figures.

For an automatic chronograph, the cheapest start is the 44mm Formula 1 Chronograph, such as the grey-dial CAZ2012.BA0876, in the mid four figures. The Carrera Chronograph starts in the mid-to-high four figures. The Monaco Chronograph starts in the high four figures. The entry model runs the in-house Calibre TH20-00 with an 80-hour power reserve. The 39mm Monaco Chronograph with a blue dial, CBL2111.BA0644, is one example. The Monaco collection shows the rest.

Is a pre-owned TAG Heuer cheaper?

Yes, usually, and on Formula 1 the used automatic saves more than the used quartz. On November 2, 2026, Chrono24 asking prices for a used Formula 1 Date quartz, reference WAZ1110, mostly sat in the low four figures. The middle used ask sat roughly a third to two-fifths under the new list price. A few asks sat in the high hundreds.

Chrono24 asking prices for a used Caliber 5 Formula 1, reference WAZ2011, also mostly sat in the low four figures. The middle used ask sat nearly half under the new list price.

Chrono24's TAG Heuer page shows the floor for each line. Asking prices start in the low hundreds for Formula 1 and Link. They start in the mid hundreds for Aquaracer and the high hundreds for Carrera. Monaco starts in the low four figures. Those are the cheapest listings, not typical ones. Asking prices are not sale prices.

Ask for box, papers and service records, and check the bracelet. The Aquaracer Caliber 5 with a ceramic bezel, WAY201B, is one pre-owned example. You can also browse pre-owned TAG Heuer watches.

Which cheap TAG Heuer should you buy?

Buy the Formula 1 Date quartz if you want a regular new TAG Heuer watch for the least money. You get 200 m of water resistance and no winding.

Buy the Formula 1 Date with Caliber 5 if you want a new mechanical TAG Heuer for the least money. It is a big watch at 43mm.

Buy the 39mm Carrera Date if you want a smaller automatic with the Carrera name. Buy the Connected if you want a smartwatch and will charge it every night. Buy pre-owned if you want a Carrera, Link or Monaco and the new price is too high. Skip a new Monaco as a first buy if your budget stops in the mid four figures.
