There is no separate ladies' Rolex Daytona. The Cosmograph Daytona is made in one size, 40 mm, and a woman who wants one buys the same watch as anyone else, choosing between steel, two-tone or solid gold and between plain and gem-set or mother-of-pearl dials. This guide explains how the 40 mm case wears on a smaller wrist, which Daytona references suit different tastes, what they cost in Bizak's sourced catalogue on September 29, 2026, and which smaller Rolex models to try if 40 mm is too large. Bizak & Co. sources Daytonas to order; the Daytona collection lists the configurations we can seek.

Is there a Rolex Daytona made for women?
No. Rolex lists the current Cosmograph Daytona as a single 40 mm model family on its official Daytona page, in Oystersteel, gold, Everose gold and platinum versions, with the calibre 4131 automatic chronograph in the current generation. There is no 36 mm or 31 mm Daytona and no ladies' chronograph in the Rolex catalogue. Rolex's smaller watches, the Lady-Datejust, the Datejust 31 and 36, and the Oyster Perpetual in 28, 31, 34 and 36 mm, are time-and-date models without a chronograph. Vintage Daytonas are a partial exception: the first Daytona references of the 1960s, such as the 6239, were around 36 mm, but they are collector's watches and their condition, dial and provenance decide the price rather than the wearer.
How does a 40 mm Daytona wear on a small wrist?
The Daytona is 40 mm across and roughly 12 mm thick, with a lug-to-lug length near 47.5 mm. That is close to the size of a Submariner and smaller than a Sea-Dweller or Explorer II. Whether it looks large depends on your wrist and on the watch's dial and bezel rather than on the number alone:
- Bezel and dial contrast. A black Cerachrom bezel and a white or silver dial make the case read larger; a bezel in the same metal as the case, common on gold versions, reads smaller.
- Bracelet or strap. An Oysterflex or leather strap wears lighter and closer to the wrist than a heavy gold bracelet.
- Weight. Steel and two-tone are lighter than solid gold or platinum, which matters if you plan to wear the watch all day.
- Bracelet sizing. The Oyster bracelet can be shortened by removing links and fine-tuned with the Easylink or Glidelock extension on many references, so a wrist below about 15 cm (6 inches) can still be fitted.
Try one on before deciding. Fit is personal, and an hour on the wrist tells you more than a spec sheet.
Which Daytona references suit a smaller wrist or a dressier look?
Two features make a Daytona read as more delicate: a lighter colour palette and a gem-set or mother-of-pearl dial. The two-tone Rolesor Daytona, which combines steel with yellow gold, is the most common route. The older 116523 was made in many dial versions, including blue, white with diamond markers, and mother of pearl with or without diamonds; the current two-tone reference is the 126503, introduced in 2023. Solid gold models on an Oysterflex strap, such as the 116518 in yellow gold or the 116515 in Everose, sit lighter on the wrist than the same metal on a bracelet. The white gold 116509 is the quietest gold option because it passes at a distance for steel.

How much is a Rolex Daytona for a woman?
The price depends on the metal, not on who wears it. On September 29, 2026, Bizak's sourced catalogue listed pre-owned two-tone 116523 examples from US$17,669 and gem-set or mother-of-pearl versions from about US$19,312. The current two-tone 126503 was listed at US$24,179, steel examples between US$30,309 and US$33,990, and all-gold current references from US$45,012. Rolex's own list prices are on the official site and change by region and year, so check them there before comparing. Which is the best Daytona for a woman to buy?
The right answer depends on what you want from the watch:
- Lowest entry price with a dressier look. A pre-owned two-tone 116523 with a blue or mother-of-pearl dial is the least expensive route into the Daytona in our catalogue.
- The current model. The 126503 two-tone has the calibre 4131 and the latest case and bracelet finishing.
- Discretion. The white gold 116509 looks like steel and wears with the weight of gold; the steel 126500LN is the classic choice, and our 126500LN guide covers it in detail.
- A lighter feel. Choose a reference on a strap, such as the 116518 or 116515, or the two-tone rather than solid gold.
- A well-known classic. The 116500LN Panda is the steel reference many buyers picture when they say Daytona.
What are the smaller alternatives to a Daytona?
If 40 mm is too large, Rolex makes smaller professional and dress watches, none of them chronographs. The Daytona is the only chronograph in Rolex's current catalogue, so a smaller chronograph means another maker. Bizak's catalogue on September 29, 2026 listed these brand-new examples:
| Model | Size | Bizak catalogue ask, 29 Sep 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Oyster Perpetual 277200 | 31 mm | US$6,509 |
| Lady-Datejust 279160 | 28 mm | US$7,439 |
| Oyster Perpetual 124200 | 34 mm | US$9,120 |
| Datejust 278240 | 31 mm | US$12,060 |

What should you check before buying a Daytona?
- Size on your wrist. Try 40 mm with the bracelet or strap you would actually wear, rather than deciding from the number.
- Factory or aftermarket dial. Gem-set and mother-of-pearl dials should be stated as factory in the listing; aftermarket diamonds reduce collector value and may affect warranty and servicing.
- Reference and movement. The 116xxx references use the calibre 4130; the 126xxx references use the calibre 4131. Both are Rolex in-house chronograph movements certified as Superlative Chronometers, a standard built on COSC chronometer certification.
- Chronograph function. Start, stop and reset should be crisp, and the seconds hand should return to zero.
- Bracelet stretch and polish. Sharp chamfers and even brushing mean the case has not been over-polished. Check the clasp, which should close firmly.
- Papers and condition. Ask for the warranty card, box and a written condition description. Rolex's watch care and service page describes the servicing the brand offers.
- A live price the week you buy. The figures in this guide are dated September 29, 2026 for that reason.

Quick answers
Is there a ladies' Rolex Daytona?
No. The Cosmograph Daytona is a single 40 mm family, and Rolex does not make a smaller ladies' version. Women who want a Daytona buy the same watch, choosing by metal and dial.
How much is a Rolex Daytona for women?
The price depends on the reference. On September 29, 2026 Bizak's sourced catalogue listed a pre-owned two-tone 116523 at US$17,669, the current two-tone 126503 at US$24,179 and steel examples from US$30,309, all sourced to order and subject to change.
What is the smallest Rolex Daytona?
The current Daytona is 40 mm. Some 1960s references such as the 6239 were around 36 mm, but these are vintage collector's watches and condition and provenance matter far more than size.
Which Daytona dial do women choose?
There is no single women's dial. Blue, white, black, mother-of-pearl and gem-set dials are all popular; compare the colours and marker styles you prefer and confirm the dial is original.
Is a 40 mm Daytona too big for a small wrist?
Not necessarily. A strap version or two-tone reference wears lighter, and the Oyster bracelet can be sized down. Try it on, and consider a Lady-Datejust or Oyster Perpetual 31 if it feels large.
