Rolex Submariner Date 126613LB in Oystersteel and yellow gold with a royal blue dial and blue Cerachrom bezel

Short answer: Rolex's 2026 catalogue has two blue-face Submariners, both 41 mm Submariner Dates with a royal blue dial and a blue Cerachrom bezel: the 126613LB in Oystersteel and yellow gold, the two-tone “Bluesy” (US list $19,450), and the 126618LB in 18 kt yellow gold ($50,900). None of the catalogue's steel Submariners has a blue dial, and the white gold 126619LB, a black dial under a blue bezel, is no longer listed. On October 19, 2026 Bizak asked from $18,150 for a 126613LB and from $15,070 for the earlier 116613LB.

Every blue-dial Rolex Submariner and its price

On the Submariner, blue comes with gold: each reference below is two-tone Rolesor (Oystersteel and yellow gold), solid yellow gold or white gold. All are Submariner Dates rated to 300 metres (1,000 feet). Rolex list prices apply to the two current references; the last column is Bizak's lowest ask on October 19, 2026.

16618 (1988–2008) 18 kt yellow gold, 40 mm, blue aluminium — $30,274

For the two current references the lowest asks were pre-owned listings; new ones started at $19,602 for the 126613LB and $46,349 for the 126618LB. Before 1988, Rolex also offered a blue dial with a blue bezel on the yellow gold 16808 and on the 16803 of the mid-1980s, the first two-tone Submariner.

Two-tone blue: the Bluesy 126613LB, 116613LB and 16613

Yellow Rolesor is Rolex's name for Oystersteel combined with yellow gold. On the two-tone Submariner the bezel, the crown and the bracelet's centre links are 18 kt yellow gold, and the numerals on the blue bezel are coated in gold. Collectors call the blue version the Bluesy; its black twin is the 126613LN.

  • 126613LB (2020 to date): 41 mm, calibre 3235 with about 70 hours of power reserve, certified as a Superlative Chronometer, a royal blue dial with Chromalight hour markers and an Oyster bracelet with the Oysterlock clasp and the Glidelock extension, which adds up to 20 mm in 2 mm steps without tools. US list $19,450; Bizak from $18,150. Our 126613LB guide has the full specification.
  • 116613LB (2009 to 2020): 40 mm in the broader-lugged “Super Case”, with the calibre 3135 and a blue Cerachrom bezel; from $15,070 (see our 116613LB guide).
  • 16613 (1988 to 2009): 40 mm with the calibre 3135 and an anodised aluminium bezel insert in place of ceramic; the least expensive blue Submariner at Bizak, from $10,760 (see our 16613 guide).

Gold and blue: the yellow gold 126618LB, 116618LB and 16618

The solid gold Submariner shares the two-tone's case, movement and bezel, with 18 kt yellow gold for the case and the whole bracelet; Rolex fits its gold Oyster bracelets with ceramic inserts around the link pins for longevity and comfort. Rolex made its first yellow gold Submariner in 1969.

  • 126618LB (2020 to date): royal blue dial, US list $50,900, the same as the black-dial 126618LN. Bizak from $43,312, about 15% under list.
  • 116618LB (2008 to 2020): 40 mm, calibre 3135, blue Cerachrom bezel; from $36,370.
  • 16618 (1988 to 2008): 40 mm, calibre 3135, blue aluminium insert; from $30,274.

Black-dial gold references such as the 126618LN and 116618LN are in the same yellow gold Submariner collection.

White gold: the Smurf and the black-dial 126619LB

Rolex's first white gold Submariner, the 116619LB of 2008, paired a blue dial with a blue Cerachrom bezel, which earned it the “Smurf” nickname. Its 2020 successor, the 41 mm 126619LB, kept the blue bezel but took a black dial, so it is the blue-and-black Submariner rather than a blue face. Rolex no longer lists the 126619LB: its 2026 US catalogue has seven Submariners, none in white gold.

Blue or black: what changes?

Only the dial and the bezel insert. Rolex charges the same for both colours and coats the bezel numerals in gold on both. In Bizak's asks on October 19, 2026, blue carried a premium of 2% to 11%:

Pair Rolex US list Blue, Bizak from Black, Bizak from
126613LB / 126613LN $19,450 each $18,150 $16,368
126618LB / 126618LN $50,900 each $43,312 $42,460
116613LB / 116613LN — $15,070 $14,696
116618LB / 116618LN — $36,370 $33,342

In steel, every Submariner in Rolex's 2026 catalogue has a black dial: the 126610LN lists at $11,350, and the 126610LV pairs the black dial with a green bezel. For black dials across Rolex's gold models, see our gold Rolex black dial guide.

Checks before you buy a blue Submariner

  • Read the suffix as the bezel. LB stands for lunette bleue, the blue bezel, so the 126619LB has a blue bezel and a black dial. Confirm both colours on the specific watch.
  • Expect different blues. Rolex calls today's dial royal blue, and the blue varies between generations and metals. Judge the shade in daylight photos of the watch, not in catalogue images.
  • Look at the bezel insert. Rolex says the colour of its Cerachrom ceramic is unaffected by ultraviolet rays. The aluminium inserts of the 16613 and 16618 change with age, which some buyers like, so ask how the insert looks now.
  • Keep the guarantee intact. Rolex has not catalogued a blue dial on a steel Submariner in the current or previous generation, and its guarantee does not cover watches modified with non-genuine parts such as the dial or bezel.

Quick answers

Which Rolex Submariner has a blue face?

In Rolex's 2026 catalogue, two: the two-tone 126613LB in Oystersteel and yellow gold ($19,450 US list) and the 126618LB in 18 kt yellow gold ($50,900), both 41 mm with a royal blue dial and a blue Cerachrom bezel. Earlier blue-face references are the 116613LB, the 116618LB and the white gold 116619LB “Smurf” of 2008 to 2020, and the 16613 and 16618 from 1988.

Is there a stainless steel Submariner with a blue dial?

Not in Rolex's current or previous generation. The steel 124060, 126610LN and 126610LV in the 2026 catalogue all have black dials, and the steel Submariner Dates of 2010 to 2020 came in black or green. Rolex pairs the blue dial with yellow or white gold.

How much is a blue Rolex Submariner?

Rolex's US list price is $19,450 for the two-tone 126613LB and $50,900 for the yellow gold 126618LB. On October 19, 2026 Bizak asked from $18,150 for a 126613LB, $15,070 for a 116613LB and $10,760 for a 16613, the least expensive blue Submariner in our catalogue.

What is the Rolex Bluesy?

Collectors' name for the two-tone Submariner Date with a blue dial and blue bezel: today's 126613LB in Oystersteel and yellow gold, and before it the 116613LB (2009 to 2020) and the 16613 (1988 to 2009). Rolex does not use the nickname.

Does the white gold Submariner have a blue dial?

The 40 mm 116619LB “Smurf” of 2008 to 2020 does, under a blue bezel. Its successor, the 126619LB, has a black dial under a blue bezel, and Rolex no longer lists it, so the 2026 catalogue has no white gold Submariner.

Is a blue Submariner more expensive than a black one?

Not at Rolex: the 126613LB and 126613LN both list at $19,450, and the 126618LB and 126618LN at $50,900. In Bizak's asks on October 19, 2026 blue cost more: from $18,150 against $16,368 for the two-tone, and $43,312 against $42,460 in yellow gold.
