Model by model

Cosmograph Daytona

The 126509 is white gold from bezel to clasp, with an engraved tachymetric scale. The 126519LN pairs the white gold case with a black Cerachrom bezel and the Oysterflex, which Rolex fitted to its gold Daytonas from 2017. Both are 40 mm with calibre 4131 and about 72 hours of reserve. White gold joined the Daytona range with the 16519 of the late 1980s, and earlier references cost less pre-owned: $27,899 for a 116509 and $34,409 for a 116519LN.

Day-Date

Rolex makes the Day-Date only in 18 kt gold or 950 platinum, on the President bracelet created for its launch in 1956. White gold lists at the same price as Everose and $3,800 above yellow gold: from $54,200 for a 228239 against $50,400 for a 228238, with platinum from $68,800 (228236). All run on calibre 3255, with about 70 hours. Earlier references: a Day-Date 36 118239 from $26,599 and a 41 mm Day-Date II 218239 from $33,999.

GMT-Master II

The only white gold GMT-Master II in the catalog is the 126729VTNR of 2025: crown on the left, date at 9 o'clock and a green ceramic dial, Rolex's first Cerachrom dial, under a green and black bezel, with calibre 3285. Bizak's asks started at $44,815 pre-owned and $48,400 new. The white gold "Pepsi" has left the catalog: the 116719BLRO of 2014 introduced Rolex's red and blue Cerachrom insert, and the 126719BLRO of 2018 took a blue dial, with a meteorite option from 2019. Pre-owned, a 126719BLRO started at $47,300, or $64,075 with the meteorite dial.

Sky-Dweller and Yacht-Master

The white gold Sky-Dweller now comes only on the Oysterflex: the 336239, with a white gold Oysterclasp and calibre 9002, introduced in 2023. The 326939 on a white gold bracelet, from the 2012 launch generation, is no longer listed; a pre-owned one was $45,431. The Yacht-Master 42 226659, launched at Baselworld 2019, pairs white gold with a matt black Cerachrom bezel on an Oysterflex, with calibre 3235; Bizak's asks started at $30,999 pre-owned and $39,285 new.

Submariner

None of the seven Submariners in Rolex's 2026 catalog is white gold. The first serially produced white gold Submariner was the 116619LB of 2008, with a blue dial and blue bezel (LB for lunette bleue). The 41 mm 126619LB that replaced it in 2020 kept the blue bezel with a black dial, and it is no longer listed either. Bizak's asks started at $39,673 for a pre-owned 126619LB ($43,775 new) and $44,572 for a pre-owned 116619LB, the blue-dial "Smurf".

1908, Datejust 31 and Lady-Datejust

The 39 mm 1908 52509 is Rolex's least expensive white gold watch, with calibre 7140, a transparent case back and an alligator strap. Older white gold Cellini dress watches, a line Rolex no longer lists, cost less: $7,301 for a Cellini Danaos 4233/9. The white gold Datejust 31 and Lady-Datejust all have diamond bezels and a President bracelet.

White gold, white Rolesor or platinum?

  • White Rolesor is Oystersteel with an 18 kt white gold bezel; Rolex has combined steel and gold since the early 1930s and trademarked the Rolesor name in 1933. A Datejust 41 126334 lists from $11,650 and a Sky-Dweller 336934 from $17,750.
  • Platinum at Rolex is 950 platinum, and Rolex reserves its ice blue dial for it, so an ice blue dial means platinum, not white gold.
  • Read the reference: in the 2026 catalog every white gold reference ends in 9 (228239, 126509, 336239), white Rolesor in 4 (126334, 336934) and platinum in 6 (228236, 126506).

Price: list against market

White gold costs more than yellow gold at list, but our asks for it mostly sit below list. On October 19, Bizak's lowest ask was under Rolex's US list for every current white gold reference it carried except the diamond-bezel Daytonas: $39,050 for a Sky-Dweller 336239 ($53,450 list), $43,059 for a Day-Date 40 228239 ($54,200) and $48,174 for a Daytona 126509 ($59,100). A diamond-bezel 126579RBR, by contrast, was $97,850 against $91,650.

Three checks before you reserve

  • Bracelet or Oysterflex: the Oysterflex 126519LN lists $14,300 below the 126509 on its white gold bracelet.
  • The exact model: Rolex numbers each dial and bracelet combination separately (m228239-0004 is the bright black Day-Date 40), so confirm the dial from photos of the specific watch.
  • Factory diamonds: a factory diamond bezel adds RBR (brilliant-cut) or TBR (trapeze-cut) to the reference, while diamond-set dials keep the plain number. See our diamond bezel guide.
