Short answer: Rolex's 2026 GMT-Master II catalog has four two-color bezels: blue and black (the "Batman" 126710BLNR), grey and black (the "Bruce Wayne" 126710GRNR in steel, plus the two-tone 126713GRNR and yellow gold 126718GRNR), green and black (the left-handed "Sprite" 126720VTNR in steel and 126729VTNR in white gold) and brown and black (the "Root Beer" 126711CHNR and 126715CHNR in Everose). The red and blue "Pepsi" left the catalog in April 2026. Rolex's US list prices run from $11,800 to $57,500. Bizak & Co. sources every color to order, from $17,850 for a pre-owned Sprite 126720VTNR; compare them all in the GMT-Master II collection.

How to read the colors and the reference letters

The bezel is a 24-hour scale. Set it to a second time zone and the two colors show whether it is day or night there: the half from 6 to 18 is daytime. On today's models the black half covers the night hours, and on the Pepsi red marked the day and blue the night. Ceramic Cerachrom inserts arrived in 2005; Rolex describes them as virtually scratchproof, with colors unaffected by ultraviolet light. Older aluminum inserts fade over time and can be replaced, so on a vintage GMT the bezel color alone proves little.

The letters after the reference number name the bezel colors in French: BLNR is bleu-noir (blue and black), GRNR gris-noir (grey and black), VTNR vert-noir (green and black), CHNR chocolat-noir (brown and black), BLRO bleu-rouge (blue and red), and LN, lunette noire, an all-black bezel. The nicknames are collectors', not Rolex's; our Rolex nicknames guide covers the rest of the range.

Discontinued colors: Pepsi, Coke, all black

Pepsi (red and blue). The original color, on the first GMT-Master, the 6542 of 1955, developed with Pan American World Airways. In ceramic it arrived on the white gold 116719BLRO in 2014, in steel as the 126710BLRO at Baselworld 2018 (Jubilee; Oyster from 2021), and in white gold as the 126719BLRO with a blue or meteorite dial. Both the steel and white gold Pepsi left Rolex's catalog at Watches and Wonders in April 2026, with no replacement. On October 12, 2026 our pre-owned asks started at $25,066 for the 126710BLRO, $47,300 for the 126719BLRO ($64,075 with the meteorite dial), $32,549 for the 116719BLRO and $11,159 for an aluminum 16710 Pepsi. See our Pepsi guide and Pepsi collection.

Coke (red and black). Introduced on the first GMT-Master II, the 16760, in the early 1980s, and offered on the 16710 until 2007. Rolex has not made it in ceramic, so every Coke is a pre-owned aluminum-bezel watch.

All black and the first Batman. The yellow gold 116718LN introduced the black Cerachrom bezel in 2005, followed by the steel 116710LN in 2007; ours start at $11,159 pre-owned. The steel 116710BLNR of 2013 was the first two-color ceramic bezel, made until 2019, when the 126710BLNR replaced it; it starts at $13,019 pre-owned.

Yellow gold and two-tone GMT-Master II

The current yellow gold model is the 126718GRNR: 18 ct yellow gold case and Jubilee bracelet, grey and black bezel, and a black dial (US list $50,800) or a tiger iron stone dial ($55,200). The two-tone version, in yellow Rolesor, is the 126713GRNR: Oystersteel with a yellow gold bezel, crown and center links, a black dial and a Jubilee bracelet, at $20,450. Both arrived in 2023. Bizak's asks on October 12: 126718GRNR $51,150 new and 126713GRNR from $22,377 pre-owned.

Earlier versions cost less. Pre-owned, the yellow gold 116718LN with a black Cerachrom bezel starts at $33,999 with a black dial and $36,269 with a green one, the two-tone 116713LN at $14,190 and the aluminum-bezel two-tone 16713 at $11,800. The 16713 came with a black, brown or brown and gold "Root Beer" insert; our 16713 guide shows how to check which.

Which GMT-Master II color should you buy?

  • Steel sells above list. Rolex lists the steel models at $11,800 to $12,500, yet on October 12 our pre-owned asks started at $17,850 for a Sprite, $18,562 for a Batman and $21,083 for a Bruce Wayne.
  • Solid gold sells below list. Pre-owned 126715CHNR, 126729VTNR and 126718GRNR asks ran from $44,385 to $47,867, under their $50,800 to $54,700 lists. Two-tone sits nearer list: $20,370 and $22,377 pre-owned for the 126711CHNR and 126713GRNR.
  • Crown side. The Sprite 126720VTNR and white gold 126729VTNR put the crown and date on the left; every other model has its crown at 3 o'clock.
  • Bracelet. In steel you choose, and Rolex charges $200 more for the Jubilee. The 126713GRNR and 126718GRNR come only on the Jubilee; the Root Beers and white gold 126729VTNR only on the Oyster.
  • Bezel against papers. The color letters are part of the reference on the warranty card. A red and blue insert on a 116710 case is aftermarket, not a Pepsi.
