What is the Rolex GMT-Master II 126710BLNR (Batman / Batgirl)?

|Filip Biczak
Rolex GMT-Master II 126710BLNR Batgirl on the Jubilee bracelet

The Rolex GMT-Master II 126710BLNR is the watch collectors call the "Batman" on the Oyster bracelet and the "Batgirl" on the Jubilee: a 40 mm steel GMT with a two-colour blue and black Cerachrom bezel, the calibre 3285 and a 70-hour power reserve. It replaced the 116710BLNR in 2019, first on the Jubilee alone and from 2021 on either bracelet. This guide covers the specifications, the Batman-versus-Batgirl question, how it compares with the Pepsi 126710BLRO and the earlier 116710BLNR, what it costs at retail and on the secondary market in 2026, and what to check before buying one. Bizak & Co. sources the 126710BLNR to order; the Batman collection lists the configurations we can seek.

The reference number does not change with the bracelet. Rolex's own model codes are m126710blnr-0002 for the Jubilee and m126710blnr-0003 for the Oyster; on a warranty card the suffix after "BLNR" identifies which bracelet the watch left the factory on. Batman or Batgirl: Oyster or Jubilee?

"Batman" was coined for the 2013 116710BLNR, which only came on the Oyster bracelet. When Rolex moved the blue-black bezel to the new 126710BLNR in 2019 it paired it with the Jubilee, and the dressier five-link bracelet earned the nickname "Batgirl". Rolex added the Oyster option in 2021, so today both bracelets are current and both are the same reference.

  • Jubilee (Batgirl). More comfortable on most wrists, catches light, and was the only option for two years, so more of the early 1267 examples are Jubilee. Slightly more requested second-hand.
  • Oyster (Batman). The tool-watch look that matches the original 116710BLNR, sturdier feel, easier to keep clean.

Rolex bracelets are not interchangeable across references by the buyer without the correct end links and clasp, and a swapped bracelet on a used watch should be disclosed and priced accordingly. Ask which bracelet the warranty card shows.

126710BLNR vs Pepsi 126710BLRO: which GMT?

126710BLNR Batman 126710BLRO Pepsi
Bezel Blue and black Cerachrom Red and blue Cerachrom
Introduced 2019 (bezel colours since 2013) 2018 in steel (colours since 1955)
Bracelets Jubilee or Oyster Jubilee or Oyster
Movement 3285 3285
Retail, 2026 About US$12,000 About US$12,000
Secondary premium Lower Higher; the Pepsi is the more requested of the two

Mechanically they are the same watch. The Pepsi is the historic colourway and carries the larger waitlist and premium; the Batman is easier to wear with anything and easier to obtain. Our Pepsi GMT-Master II guide covers the red and blue watch.

126710BLNR vs 116710BLNR: what changed in 2019?

  • Movement. Calibre 3285 replaced the 3186: 70 hours of reserve instead of 48, Chronergy escapement, better magnetic resistance.
  • Case. Slimmer lugs and crown guards, the same 40 mm diameter.
  • Bracelet. Jubilee introduced; Oyster returned in 2021 with the Oysterlock clasp and Easylink.
  • Dial and bezel. Very close; the 126710 bezel's blue is marginally lighter to most eyes.

A 116710BLNR is the value route to the colourway: it trades below the current watch and still has a ceramic bezel, but it lacks the long reserve and the Jubilee option.

How much is a Rolex Batman? Retail and used prices in 2026

  • Retail. Rolex's US list price for the 126710BLNR on the Jubilee was US$12,000 on 12 September 2026, and the Oyster version lists in the same range. Authorised-dealer allocation is measured in months to years; most buyers are offered one only with purchase history.
  • Secondary market. In 2025 and 2026, unworn full-set 126710BLNR examples have generally been asked in the mid US$15,000s to high US$16,000s, with the Jubilee slightly above the Oyster and pre-owned full sets a little under that. That is a premium of roughly 30 to 40 percent over list, well below the Pepsi's.
  • 116710BLNR. Used examples with papers have generally sat in the US$12,000 to 14,000 range in the same period.

Is the Rolex Batman a good investment?

It has held value well, like every current steel Rolex sports reference, and a full-set example resells quickly. It is not a speculation: the premium over retail fell with the rest of the market in 2022 and 2023 and has been stable rather than rising since. Buy it because a blue-black GMT on a 70-hour movement is one of the most useful watches Rolex makes; if resale matters, ask for a written cash-buy assessment before you commit.

Buying a used 126710BLNR: what to check

  • Warranty card. The card shows the reference, the dealer and the sale date. Rolex does not reissue cards. Cards from 2020 onward are the new-style cards with the QR code.
  • Bracelet code. Confirm the bracelet on the watch matches the one on the card; a Jubilee swapped onto an Oyster-delivered watch is a disclosure item.
  • Bezel. The Cerachrom insert should have no chips at the edges and the platinum numerals should be even; a replacement insert is a service item that should appear on the invoice.
  • Case finishing. The lug chamfers should be sharp and the brushing even; rounded edges mean polishing.
  • GMT function. The local hour hand should jump in one-hour steps with the crown in position 2 without moving the minute hand; the 24-hour hand should be set independently.
  • Rehaut. The serial engraved on the rehaut at 6 o'clock should match the card.
  • Price against the band. A full-set 126710BLNR offered well under the market is the single most reliable warning sign.
