A Patek Philippe Tiffany dial is a Patek dial that carries the words "Tiffany & Co." in addition to the Patek Philippe signature, a privilege Tiffany has held since the two houses signed their first agreement in 1851 and one that no other retailer has. There are two things people mean by the phrase. The first is the Nautilus 5711/1A-018, the 170-piece steel Nautilus with a Tiffany blue dial that Patek released in December 2021 for the partnership's 170th anniversary, one of which sold at auction for about US$6.5 million. The second is the ordinary Tiffany-stamped dial: a standard Patek reference, from a Calatrava to an Aquanaut, sold through a Tiffany boutique with the retailer's name printed at 6 o'clock. This guide explains both, what the stamp adds to the price, how to verify one and what to check before buying. Bizak & Co. sources Tiffany-stamped Pateks to order; the Nautilus collection lists the configurations we can seek.

What is a Patek Philippe Tiffany dial?
Antoine Norbert de Patek visited New York in 1851 and agreed with Charles Lewis Tiffany that Tiffany would sell Patek's watches in America; the relationship has run without interruption since, which makes it the oldest retail partnership in watchmaking. From the 19th century Tiffany sold Patek pocket watches and later wristwatches with its own name on the dial alongside Patek's, and the practice continued through the great mid-century references, so that Tiffany-signed examples of the 1518, 2499 and 3448 are known and prized. On modern watches the Tiffany name is printed in small capitals at 6 o'clock, above the "Swiss Made" line on most dials, and the watch is otherwise identical to the standard reference. Only watches sold new through a Tiffany boutique carry the stamp, and Tiffany's Patek salons in the United States, led by the Fifth Avenue flagship in New York, are where they come from. Because the stamp is a retail mark rather than a separate reference, the reference number on the certificate is the same as the unstamped watch; the Tiffany paperwork is what documents the origin.

Why did the Tiffany Nautilus sell for US$6.5 million?
Patek discontinued the steel Nautilus 5711 in 2021, first announcing the end of the blue-dial 5711/1A-010 and then running out the reference with the olive green 5711/1A-014. The 5711/1A-018 was the final steel 5711, announced in December 2021 as a 170-piece edition for the 170th anniversary of the Tiffany partnership, in the colour Tiffany has used on its boxes since the 19th century. The first example was sold at Phillips in New York on 11 December 2021 for about US$6.5 million, with the proceeds going to The Nature Conservancy; the result made it the most expensive Nautilus ever sold and turned a watch with a retail price of a little over US$50,000 into a landmark. Three things drove that number: the steel 5711 was already the most sought-after Patek at the end of its life, the edition was tiny and allocated only to Tiffany's best clients, and the charity context invited bidders to pay for the moment rather than the watch. Subsequent private and auction sales have been far below the first result but still many multiples of retail.
Tiffany-stamped Pateks: which references carry the stamp?
Any Patek sold new through a Tiffany boutique can carry the stamp, and in practice Tiffany has sold the full catalogue. On the modern secondary market the references that appear most often with the stamp are the steel Nautilus 5711/1A-010 and 5712/1A-001, the Aquanaut 5167A-001, the Calatrava 5196 and 5227, and the Nautilus 5726 annual calendar. Older Tiffany-stamped Pateks from the 1940s to the 1980s include Calatravas of the 96 and 570 families, the 2499 and 3448 perpetual calendars and the 3700 Nautilus, and those are a separate market with their own authentication questions. The stamp does not change the reference, the movement or the certificate; what changes is the paperwork, which should include a Tiffany sales receipt or a Tiffany warranty booklet alongside the Patek Certificate of Origin.

The Tiffany-stamped 5711/1A-010 is the realistic version of the Tiffany Nautilus for most buyers: the same watch as the standard 5711/1A-010, which is already the most expensive steel Patek on the secondary market, with the stamp adding a premium that depends on paperwork and condition. The 5711/1A-018 is a trophy priced as such. Our Nautilus 5990 guide and the 5711 collection cover the wider Nautilus market.
How much is a Patek Philippe Tiffany dial worth in 2026?
- 5711/1A-018. The retail price at Tiffany was reported at a little over US$50,000 in December 2021. Since then examples have changed hands privately and at auction at figures that dwarf retail; the first sale at Phillips reached about US$6.5 million in a charity context, and later results have been lower but still in the millions. On 21 September 2026 our sourced catalogue listed a 5711/1A-018 at US$6,435,000, sourced to order; that is an ask to be negotiated against the specific watch and its provenance, not a market median.
- Tiffany-stamped modern references. Through 2025 and 2026 a Tiffany stamp on a modern steel Nautilus or Aquanaut has generally commanded a premium over the unstamped watch that varies with the completeness of the Tiffany paperwork, and that premium is larger on discontinued references than on current ones. On gold dress references the premium is smaller and sometimes negligible.
- Reference points. On 21 September 2026 our catalogue listed the standard 5711/1A-010 at US$152,440, the olive green 5711/1A-014 at US$295,094 and the Aquanaut 5167A-001 at US$86,519, all sourced to order, which are the bases from which a stamped example would be priced.
Those figures describe what we saw and will move. Ask for a dated quote for the exact watch and its papers; our Patek Philippe price guide explains how the secondary premium is built.
How do you verify a Tiffany-stamped dial?
The stamp is the easiest thing on a Patek to fake, because it is a few words of print on an otherwise genuine dial, and stamped dials have been added to standard watches to capture the premium. Verification therefore rests on documents rather than on the dial alone. A modern Tiffany-stamped Patek should come with its Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin stamped by Tiffany as the selling dealer, and ideally the Tiffany sales receipt; the certificate's case and movement numbers must match the watch. Patek's Extract from the Archives confirms the reference, movement and case numbers and the date of sale, but does not by itself prove the retailer, so an extract is supporting evidence rather than proof of a Tiffany stamp. Under magnification the print should sit in the same plane and with the same edge quality as the Patek signature; on modern dials the stamp is applied at the factory and matches the rest of the printing exactly. For vintage pieces, the auction houses, including Sotheby's, have catalogued Tiffany-signed examples for decades and their catalogue notes are a useful reference for what a correct stamp looks like on a given reference and period.
Is a Tiffany-stamped Patek a good investment?
The stamp has been a reliable premium for a century, and on discontinued steel references it has grown rather than shrunk since 2021, but it is a premium on top of a watch whose value already moves with the wider Nautilus and Aquanaut market. Buy the underlying reference you would want without the stamp, pay a documented premium for documented Tiffany paperwork, and treat the 5711/1A-018 as a separate asset class whose price is set by a handful of transactions a year. A stamped watch without Tiffany paperwork should be priced as an unstamped watch with a question mark. If resale matters, ask for a written cash-buy assessment before you commit.
Buying a Tiffany-stamped Patek: what to check
- Certificate dealer stamp. The Patek Certificate of Origin should show Tiffany & Co. as the selling dealer with the sale date; a certificate stamped by another dealer on a Tiffany-signed watch needs an explanation.
- Tiffany documents. Ask for the Tiffany receipt, warranty booklet or appraisal; these are the documents that separate a genuine stamp from an added one.
- Print quality. Under a loupe the Tiffany print should match the Patek signature in sharpness, depth and ink; a stamp that looks heavier or sits differently is a warning.
- Numbers. Case and movement numbers on the watch must match the certificate; Patek does not reissue certificates.
- Condition against the premium. A stamp does not excuse a polished case or a stretched bracelet; inspect the watch as you would the unstamped reference.
- 5711/1A-018 specifics. Confirm the anniversary engraving on the case back, the Tiffany blue dial colour in daylight and the complete Tiffany presentation set, and expect a provenance chain from the original Tiffany client.
- Price against the band. A Tiffany-stamped steel Nautilus offered at the price of an unstamped one, or a 5711/1A-018 offered privately without a provenance chain, is the single most reliable warning sign.

Quick answers
What is a Patek Philippe Tiffany dial?
A Patek Philippe dial that also carries the words Tiffany & Co., printed at 6 o'clock on watches sold new through a Tiffany boutique. Tiffany has held that privilege since 1851 and is the only retailer allowed to sign a Patek dial.
How much is the Patek Philippe Tiffany Nautilus?
The 5711/1A-018 retailed at a little over US$50,000 in December 2021 and the first example sold at Phillips for about US$6.5 million for charity. Bizak's sourced catalogue listed one at US$6,435,000 on 21 September 2026, sourced to order.
How many Tiffany Nautilus 5711 were made?
170, one for each year of the Patek Philippe and Tiffany partnership from 1851 to 2021, sold only through Tiffany's boutiques in New York, Beverly Hills and San Francisco.
Does a Tiffany stamp add value to a Patek?
Usually, and most on discontinued steel sports references such as the Nautilus 5711 and Aquanaut 5167, provided the Tiffany paperwork is present. Without documents the stamp adds little and raises questions.
How do you tell if a Tiffany stamp is genuine?
Through the paperwork: the Patek certificate should be stamped by Tiffany as the selling dealer and the Tiffany receipt or booklet should match. The print itself should match the Patek signature under magnification, and an Extract from the Archives supports but does not prove the retailer.
