His and Hers Rolex: Matching Pairs by Model and Budget

Rolex Datejust 41 126334 in white Rolesor with a bright blue Roman dial and fluted white gold bezel, on an Oyster bracelet

Short answer: Rolex does not sell his and hers sets. A matching pair is two watches from one family in two sizes, with the same metal, bezel, dial and bracelet. At Rolex's 2026 US list the closest pairs are the Oyster Perpetual 41 and 31 ($13,350 for both), the Datejust 41 and 31 ($16,650 in steel to $31,200 in Everose Rolesor) and a yellow gold Day-Date 40 with a Day-Date 36 or Lady-Datejust 28 ($85,700 to $96,300). On October 19, 2026 Bizak's asks for the matched new pairs below started at $16,738, for a silver-dial Oyster Perpetual 41 and 31.

How do you match a his and hers Rolex?

Rolex sells every watch on its own, so a couple picks one family in two sizes and keeps four things the same:

  • Metal: Oystersteel, Rolesor (Oystersteel with yellow, Everose or white gold), Rolesium (Oystersteel and platinum) or solid gold.
  • Bezel: the steel Datejust 41 126300 has a smooth bezel and the steel Datejust 31 278240 a domed one. For identical fluted white gold bezels, choose white Rolesor: 126334 and 278274.
  • Dial: pick a colour Rolex makes in both sizes. Names can change: Sundust, an Everose Datejust 41 dial, has no 31 mm version; the closest is rosé-colour.
  • Bracelet: Oyster, Jubilee or, on gold, President. At list a Jubilee adds $200 to a steel or white Rolesor Datejust and $650 to $800 in yellow or Everose Rolesor.

List prices are on the Oyster bracelet, except the Land-Dweller (Flat Jubilee) and the gold pairs (President). The dial can move the ask more than the model: a silver Day-Date 40 was $41,106, a champagne one $55,284. And in yellow and Everose Rolesor, these 41 mm asks were below list while the 31 mm asks were above it.

Datejust 41 and 31: the classic pair

The Datejust is the easiest Rolex to match: Rolex makes it in 41, 36 and 31 mm, and as the 28 mm Lady-Datejust, with the same case design, fluted bezel option and Oyster or Jubilee bracelets, all waterproof to 100 metres. The 41 runs on calibre 3235 with about 70 hours of power reserve, the 31 and 28 on calibre 2236 with about 55 hours. Both the 41 and 31 come with bright black, bright blue, mint green, silver and white dials in steel and white Rolesor, champagne-colour and white in yellow Rolesor, and slate and white in Everose Rolesor.

For a smaller wrist, the Lady-Datejust 28 lists from $7,600 in steel (279160); the Datejust 36, from $8,150, sits between the sizes. See our Datejust 31 guide.

Day-Date 40 and 36, or a Day-Date with a Lady-Datejust

The Day-Date is made only in precious metal, in 40 and 36 mm, both with calibre 3255 and about 70 hours. In yellow gold both sizes offer champagne-colour, white and green ombré dials. There is no smaller Day-Date, so the closest match for a small wrist is the Lady-Datejust 28 in the same gold, with a fluted bezel, the President bracelet and silver, champagne-colour or white dials; it shows the date only. In Everose gold the Day-Date 40 and 36 list from $54,200 and $49,600; in platinum from $68,800 and $64,100, where both sizes offer an ice blue dial. See our Day-Date buying guide.

Oyster Perpetual 41 and 31: the entry pair

The Oyster Perpetual is Rolex's lowest-priced pair: Oystersteel, domed bezel, no date, Oyster bracelet. The 41 runs on calibre 3230 with about 70 hours, the 31 on calibre 2232 with about 55 hours. Every OP 41 dial is also made in 31 mm: silver, black, beige, lavender, pistachio, candy pink, med blue, green and the multicoloured Jubilee motif. The OP 36 (126000) and OP 28 (276200) list for $12,950 together.

New for 2026, Rolex also makes an Oystersteel and yellow gold OP with a slate dial in 41, 36 and 31 mm ($9,650, $8,450 and $7,700). Bizak's October 19 asks for the new multicoloured Jubilee-motif dial were $29,999 in 41 mm and $18,899 in 31 mm, over four and about three times list. See the OP 41 and OP 31 collections.

Sporty pairs: Explorer, Yacht-Master and Land-Dweller

  • Explorer 40 and 36: Oystersteel, a smooth bezel, the same black dial and calibre 3230 in both sizes.
  • Yacht-Master 40 and 37: in Rolesium, a platinum bezel and slate dial in both sizes; in Everose Rolesor (126621 and 268621, $37,500 at list for both), chocolate or intense black dials.
  • Land-Dweller 40 and 36: white Rolesor, a fluted bezel, the intense white honeycomb-motif dial, a Flat Jubilee bracelet and calibre 7135 in both sizes.

The Cosmograph Daytona, GMT-Master II, Submariner and Sky-Dweller come in one size only.

Checks before you commit

  • Match dial names, not photos: confirm Rolex makes the dial in both sizes.
  • Factory or added diamonds: some dealer-built "sets" carry aftermarket diamonds, and Rolex's guarantee excludes watches modified with non-genuine parts. See our diamond bezel guide.
  • Fit both wrists: try the sizes on, or read our watch size guide.

Quick answers

Does Rolex sell his and hers watch sets?

No. Rolex sells each watch individually. A his and hers Rolex is two watches from one family in two sizes, matched on metal, bezel, dial and bracelet.

How much does a his and hers Rolex set cost?

At Rolex's 2026 US list, $13,350 for an Oyster Perpetual 41 and 31, $16,650 for a steel Datejust 41 and 31, $30,100 to $31,200 in yellow or Everose Rolesor and $85,700 to $96,300 for a yellow gold Day-Date pair. On October 19, 2026 Bizak's asks for matched new pairs started at $16,738.

Which Rolex is best for a matching pair?

The Datejust, because Rolex makes it in 41, 36, 31 and 28 mm with the same fluted bezel option, Oyster and Jubilee bracelets and many shared dials. The Oyster Perpetual is the lower-priced option, a Day-Date with a Lady-Datejust 28 the gold one.

What sizes should a couple choose?

Usually the larger and smaller sizes of one family: 41 and 31 mm in the Datejust and Oyster Perpetual (28 mm for a smaller wrist), 40 and 36 mm in the Day-Date, Explorer and Land-Dweller, and 40 and 37 mm in the Yacht-Master.

Do both watches have to be from the same year?

No. Matching references, dials and bracelets make the pair. Rolex dates each guarantee card at the sale, so if matching years matter, ask for both card dates first.

Can you get the same dial in both sizes?

Often. The steel Datejust 41 and 31 share five dial colours, and every Oyster Perpetual 41 colour is also made in 31 mm. Sundust is a 41 mm Everose Datejust dial; the closest 31 mm dial is rosé-colour.

Are diamond his and hers Rolex sets original?

Only if Rolex set the stones. Factory diamond bezels carry a suffix such as RBR or TBR in the reference, and Rolex's guarantee does not cover watches modified with non-genuine parts. Ask whether any diamonds were added later.
