What is the Rolex Submariner Starbucks 126610LV?

Rolex Submariner 126610LV Starbucks with green Cerachrom bezel

The Rolex Submariner 126610LV is the "Starbucks": a 41 mm steel Submariner Date with a green Cerachrom bezel on a black dial, launched in September 2020 on the calibre 3235. It is the third green Submariner after the Kermit 16610LV (2003) and the Hulk 116610LV (2010), and the only one currently in production. This guide covers the specifications, how the Starbucks differs from the Hulk and Kermit, what it costs at retail and second-hand in 2026, and what to check before buying one. Bizak & Co. sources the 126610LV to order; the Starbucks collection lists the configurations we can seek.

Why is the 126610LV called the Starbucks?

The nickname follows the pattern set by the Kermit and the Hulk: each green Submariner gets a green mascot. The green bezel on a black dial recalled the coffee chain's logo colours, and "Starbucks" stuck within weeks of the 2020 launch. Some dealers call it the "Cermit" (ceramic Kermit) because it returns to the Kermit's black-dial-and-green-bezel layout with a ceramic insert; you will meet both names in listings. The 2026 catalogue still lists it under its plain name, Submariner Date, in Oystersteel with a green Cerachrom bezel; nicknames never appear on Rolex paperwork, so search the reference, not the name, when comparing listings. Our Rolex nicknames guide covers the rest.

The Starbucks is the one to buy if you want the current movement and a warranty; the Hulk is the louder watch and the one that appreciated most after discontinuation; the Kermit is the collector's choice, especially early "flat four" bezel examples. Our Hulk review and Kermit guide cover the other two.

Starbucks vs 126610LN: is the green bezel worth it?

The 126610LV and the black-bezel 126610LN are identical apart from the bezel insert: same 41 mm case, calibre 3235, black dial, Oyster bracelet and Glidelock clasp. At retail the green insert costs US$550 more. Second-hand the gap is wider, because the Starbucks is made in smaller numbers and the green bezel is the collectable one; in 2025 and 2026 a full-set Starbucks has typically been asked US$1,500 to 2,500 above a full-set 126610LN of the same year. If you want the most versatile Submariner, buy the LN and save the difference. If you want the watch people recognise across a room, and a colourway with a twenty-year lineage behind it, the LV is the one, and it has historically been the easier of the two to resell. On the wrist the two feel identical; the choice is entirely about the colour and about which one your dealer will actually offer you.

How much is a Rolex Starbucks? Retail and used prices in 2026

  • Retail. Rolex's US list price for the 126610LV was US$11,900 on 12 September 2026, US$550 above the black-bezel 126610LN. Authorised-dealer allocation is typically offered to existing clients; walk-in availability is rare. Rolex's Submariner collection page lists every current reference and its US price.
  • Secondary market. In 2025 and 2026, unworn full-set examples have generally been asked in the US$14,000 to 16,500 range, and pre-owned full sets a little under that. Early 2020 to 2021 examples with the first-generation bezel (a slightly different green under some lights, called "MK1" by dealers) are sometimes asked higher.
  • Hulk 116610LV. Discontinued examples with papers have generally been asked above the Starbucks, in the US$16,000 to 19,000 range.

Is the Rolex Starbucks a good investment?

It holds value well, as every current steel Submariner does, and it resells fast. The premium over retail is smaller than the Hulk's because the Starbucks is still being made; if Rolex ever retires it, history suggests the premium rises, but that is not a plan. Buy it because a green-bezel Submariner on a 70-hour calibre is a daily watch you will not tire of. If resale matters, ask for a written cash-buy assessment before you commit.

Buying a used 126610LV: what to check

  • Warranty card. Card and rehaut serial should match. Rolex does not reissue cards.
  • Bezel insert. No chips at the edge; even platinum graduations; a replaced insert should be on a service invoice.
  • Bezel action. 120 clicks, no back-play, aligned at 12.
  • Case. Sharp lug chamfers and even brushing; softened edges mean polishing.
  • Clasp. The Glidelock should hold every position; worn teeth are a service item.
  • Water resistance. Ask when it was last pressure-tested if you will swim in it.
  • Price against the band. A full-set Starbucks offered well under the market is the single most reliable warning sign.
