Short answer: the 5711/1A-018 is the Tiffany Blue Nautilus: a 40 mm steel 5711 with a lacquered Tiffany Blue dial carrying both the Patek Philippe logo and a "Tiffany & Co." stamp, made in an edition of 170 for the 170th anniversary of the two houses' partnership and announced in 2021. The stamp and the edition are what make it special; mechanically it is a standard 5711 with the calibre 26-330 S C, and with retail sales long closed, any price is a quote for one specific watch.
The Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711/1A-018 is the Tiffany Blue Nautilus: a 40 mm steel watch with an integrated bracelet, a Tiffany Blue dial signed by both Patek Philippe and Tiffany & Co., and the automatic calibre 26-330 S C with date. It was made in an edition of 170 watches to mark 170 years since the two houses began working together in 1851, and it is the most sought-after version of a reference Patek withdrew from the Nautilus range in 2021. This guide covers the specifications, what the Tiffany stamp on the dial means, what the edition is and is not, how it compares with the olive-green 5711/1A-014 and the white-gold 5811/1G-001, how it wears, what to check before buying and how price is discussed for a watch this rare. Bizak & Co. sources the 5711/1A-018 to order; our Nautilus collection lists the configurations we can seek.

What is the Nautilus 5711/1A-018 Tiffany edition?
It is a limited edition of the steel 5711, not a different watch. Gerald Genta drew the Nautilus in 1976, the 5711 carried the design from 2006, and in 2021 Patek Philippe confirmed that the steel 5711 was leaving the collection. The Tiffany Blue version was the anniversary send-off: the same case, bracelet and movement as the standard blue-dial 5711/1A-010, with a dial in the colour Tiffany & Co. has used since the nineteenth century and the two names printed together. Nothing about the mechanics changed, which is why the watch is judged on its edition and condition rather than on any technical difference.
The cap of 170 watches is the key fact. It is documented in Patek's own announcement, and it is also why the reference is discussed as an object of collecting rather than as a sports watch. If you want a Nautilus to wear, a standard 5711 or the 5811 does the same job.
What does the Tiffany & Co. stamp on the 5711 dial mean?
The stamp is a retailer's signature. On the 5711/1A-018 the dial is lacquered in Tiffany Blue and printed with the Patek Philippe logo at 12 o'clock and "Tiffany & Co." at 6 o'clock, according to the auction-house catalogue note for the first example sold publicly. The same note describes the hue as Tiffany's house colour, and says the hour markers and hands are blackened white gold. Patek's press release is the primary source for the anniversary and the edition size; treat dial details from secondary sources as descriptions to check against the actual watch.
Two things follow for a buyer. First, the stamp is part of the watch as made and sold, not a later addition: a standard blue-dial 5711 with a Tiffany signature added afterwards is not a 5711/1A-018, and the reference on the papers and the caseback inscription are what settle it. Second, retailer-signed Patek dials are an older tradition than this edition. If you want the wider story of co-signed dials, our guide to Patek Philippe Tiffany dials and Tiffany-stamped references and our piece on co-signed Patek watches and vintage design influence cover it.
Where was the 5711/1A-018 sold, and what does the caseback say?
Reports of the launch say the edition was offered only through selected Tiffany & Co. locations in the United States, named in the auction note as New York, Beverly Hills and San Francisco, rather than through Patek Philippe's general retailer network. The sapphire caseback is reported to carry a commemorative inscription for the 170th anniversary (1851-2021) naming both houses. Confirm both points on any watch offered to you: the inscription should be crisp and in the same finish as other Patek casebacks, and the sale history should be consistent with a Tiffany purchase. Because distribution was so narrow, a seller who cannot explain how the watch reached them deserves more questions, not fewer.
Tiffany Blue 5711 vs olive-green 5711/1A-014 vs 5811/1G-001

The olive-green 5711/1A-014 is the closest steel relative and the natural comparison if the anniversary dial matters less to you than the case. The 5811/1G-001 is a different proposition: a slightly larger white-gold case with a bracelet adjustment system, closer to a successor than a sibling; our Nautilus 5811 guide compares it with the 5711 in detail. Our Nautilus 5711 guide lists every 5711 reference and how they differ.
How does the 5711/1A-018 wear?
Like every 5711. At 40 mm and roughly 8 mm thick, the Nautilus is flat for a sports watch and slides under a cuff, and the integrated bracelet means the watch wears more compactly than the diameter suggests. The bezel and case are brushed and polished in alternation, so scratches on the polished sections are more visible than on a fully brushed watch. The Tiffany Blue dial changes with light, reading closer to a pale robin's-egg colour in daylight and deeper in evening light. Wrists of about 16 cm (6.3 inches) and above carry it comfortably; on smaller wrists the octagonal bezel can look wide, so try it on before committing.
What does the calibre 26-330 S C do?
It is the automatic movement of the later 5711: an in-house calibre with centre seconds and a date, a central rotor and a sapphire caseback that shows the finishing that earns the Patek Philippe Seal. Power reserve is roughly 35 to 45 hours, so a watch left off the wrist for two days will usually need winding and setting. It is a dependable, easily serviced movement rather than a complicated one. Service history matters more than the reference: ask what was done and by whom, and expect service at Patek Philippe or a specialist to be quoted on inspection rather than a fixed sum.
How much is a Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711/1A-018?
- Retail. The watch was allocated in 2021 and is no longer on sale from Patek Philippe or Tiffany & Co., so there is no current retail figure to quote. Anything you read now is a secondary market ask or a past result.
- Auction context. Watches from limited editions like this one appear at the major houses; the results archives at Phillips and Sotheby's are the places to see what individual examples have achieved, because each sale depends on the exact numbered watch, its condition and its documentation.
- Bizak catalogue. We list the reference as priced by quotation, because a single figure would go stale and would ignore condition and set. Tell us what you need and we confirm a specific watch, photographs and a written price before you commit.
Any number for a reference this rare is a snapshot of one seller's ask, not a market index. Our Patek Philippe price guide explains how to compare asks and results.
Is the 5711/1A-018 a good investment?
Nobody can promise that. A discontinued reference, an edition of 170 and a dual-signed dial are the kind of features collectors value, and the Nautilus generally has a deep following. But an edition watch can be slow to resell, ownership and selling costs reduce any gain, and prices fall as well as rise. Buy it because you want the Tiffany Blue dial on a 5711, and treat any appreciation as a bonus. If resale matters to you, ask for a written buy-back assessment from the dealer before you commit.
Buying a 5711/1A-018: what to check
- Dual-signature dial. Both signatures should be in the correct typeface, position and weight, printed cleanly under magnification with no bleed. A Tiffany signature that looks added, or a dial that differs from documented examples, is a reason to walk away.
- Numbers and papers. Case, movement and reference numbers should agree with the Certificate of Origin and any service records. Our reference numbers guide explains what each number means, and our guide to authenticating a Patek Philippe Nautilus walks through the dial, movement and papers. Matching numbers do not complete an authentication check on their own.
- Box and Tiffany materials. Ask for an itemised list: outer box, Certificate of Origin, booklets and any Tiffany & Co. packaging. An Extract from the Archives is generally available only for watches first sold more than ten years earlier, so do not expect one for a 2021 watch in 2026.
- Unworn claims. Brand new should mean no polish marks on the case flanks or bracelet, no hairlines on the bezel and no clasp wear. Ask for raking-light photographs.
- Bracelet and clasp. The fold-over clasp should close firmly and the links should be even. A stretched bracelet on a watch described as unworn is a red flag.
- Independent inspection. Agree on a specialist inspection of the actual watch before payment. Our authenticity guarantee describes what we check before dispatch.
Who is the Tiffany Nautilus for?
It suits a collector who already knows the Nautilus and wants the edition, and who is comfortable holding a watch for years rather than trading it. It is a poor first Patek and a poor choice if you need liquidity. Quick answers
How many Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711/1A-018 were made?
Patek Philippe made an edition of 170 watches, announced in 2021 for the 170th anniversary of its relationship with Tiffany & Co. The figure comes from Patek's own announcement.
What does the Tiffany & Co. stamp on the 5711 dial mean?
It is the retailer's signature, printed on the Tiffany Blue dial alongside the Patek Philippe logo (reported at 6 o'clock and 12 o'clock respectively). It marks the anniversary edition made with Tiffany & Co.; a Tiffany signature on any other 5711 dial needs to be verified before you rely on it.
What movement does the 5711/1A-018 have?
The automatic calibre 26-330 S C, with centre seconds, a date and roughly 35 to 45 hours of power reserve. It carries the Patek Philippe Seal.
Is the 5711/1A-018 different mechanically from the standard 5711?
No. The case, bracelet and movement match the standard steel 5711. The difference is the Tiffany Blue dial with both signatures and the limited edition.
Where was the 5711/1A-018 originally sold?
Reports say it was offered through selected Tiffany & Co. locations in the United States rather than Patek's general retailer network. Ask any seller to explain the watch's history and confirm it against the papers.
What did the 5711/1A-018 cost at retail?
It is no longer on sale from Patek Philippe, so there is no current retail figure. Bizak lists it as priced by quotation, confirmed against a specific watch and condition.
Is the 5711/1A-018 a good investment?
No return can be guaranteed. The edition size and dial interest collectors, but resale timing and price depend on the individual watch, its documents and the market on the day.
